Can't comment on the front bar as it's not one of theirs. My side skirts sat about 11cm off the ground. Haven't measured an exact height but at the rear, 18's with 35 profile tyres has about an finger width to the guard. My old side skirts sat 7cm. I can sell you those if you want to get back at the missus for something

ahahahaa! No worries then. I've gone ahead and ordered the kit. Along with a couple of dolphin eyelids to match. Hopefully the panel shop won't have too much problems getting it painted and fitted.

bit hard to see but this is a pic off the dolphin site http://www.freeway-dolphin.co.jp/aeroform/...ea_c34mc-bl.htm

Thanks mike, that's pretty much it. Here's one i found as well, but it had the whole middle lip chopped off for the fmic so i photoshopped it back in.

series two Dolphin kit.

rear bar dunno looks like a dayz bar ?

saving the penny's now :(

That looks hot. Unfortunately mine won't look as nice, standard ride height. :) Mike's on the other hand... looks like it'd scrape cat eyes! :(

^^^ yup that rear bar is dayz, it's an adelaide car :) if you look closely, the dolphin bar has also had n1 slots fitted

mine with dolphin grill fitted - still reckon i prefer the N/A one

Hey mike, i didn't know that was an adl car. Have you seen it around? Does it come out cruising? Would like to see it in the flesh.

i've not actually seen it out and about but RBPOWA is correct when he said that it's just been sold. my mate was looking into buying it

maybe we should contact the old owner to let the new owner about this/us

Well got the car back. The paint job is very good, blends in perfectly. The front bar looks very nice if i may say so myself. Eyelids are on as well but i opted for the original grill at the end. Might still do a swap later as they painted the dolphin grill anyway, and it doesn't look too hard to do. Only problem is our driveway is quite high and unless i go really slow and at an angle, it scrapes. I'll have to watch out for those spoon drains! I will post some pics tomorrow.

awesome nick

be waiting for those pics

should have my side skirts and rear bar on the way shortly.... then place and order for bar grill eyelids and there vented hood... going all out..

stock ride height atm so will judge what suspension setup to go for then, this front bar is sounding low to a few people

It's alright if you drive around pretty careful anyway. As long as it's pretty slow there's no probs. Will leave it on for a couple of weeks till the Dayz bar is fixed and then decide. Might either have this one or the Dayz one for sale then.

    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
