if anyone would like to post inviting others to the event on other website feel free to use this flyer

Damo Nene and I have put a lot of effort into this even so i need everyone attending to start organising payments for there dinner this is not a normal SAU dinner its now classed a function which need the hotel to pre organise all our meals, i was feeling a little sad tonight and was talking to Luke about how it seems no one is appreciating this event due to lack of feedback, i know some of the wording may be confusing but were trying to organise a very large event with no prior experience for a GOOD cause

PLEASE show your support dont let SAU down

im fairly sure ive got that day off, but thanks to a couple nice 'bills' that have come in this week, i probably wont be able to pay until the day, will that be a problem?

Hi guys,

it is with great regret that I, with consultation with Damo and Nene have decided to cancel the Gala and just make it a dinner downstairs.

This means we just pay for what you want on the night and if you eat you eat if not thats cool too.

I will be ringing the traders and re-inviting them to dinner but possibly minus the raffle prizes.

BUT Heslo doesnt get out of his challenges that easily :)

i would still like us to show our support for the Vitims of the Fire, just won't be as originally planned.

Thank you Damo, Janene and Steve

this way might make it alot easier for everyone to attend, you dont have to pre pay, and will be much cheaper on the night.

aye... while im prebooked till at least 7:30 that night, i must say the snowballing from a simple pub meal/donation to a group buy to a full blown black tie event was extremely ambitious but kudos for trying (as much as I hate dressing up, it was the thought that counts)

keep it simple. $10 donation, $whatever u wanna spend on food/drink and optional raffles = win

-D

it was never a black tie event i don't know where people got that from

it is expected the hosts dress nice and Nene wanted to wear a nice dress so said to me if she wore a dress would i wear a suit so i was yeah ok, but never was it mentioned that it was a formal it was just a function preferably Club gear to be worn

nah thats cos a sell MY ass on the street!

anyway, ill ring the Mawson Lakes and re-book a table for about 25?

lets see.

    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
    • Yeah, I would have said the same. It makes me suggest that there are other things wrong, such that the ECU is totally unhappy with the broken sensor. The only other thought here is that maybe it is shorted, which might cause a different issue to the typical "disconnected" sensor.
