Sorry guys, was out in a mate's ute and saw 7 or 8 cop cars in the space of 10 minutes, 3 people pulled over. Not tonight methinks, can't afford any more fines, defects, loss of licences or anything else they can dish out. i'm layin low this weekend.

not worth it guys, with the blitz on this weekend and the recent crash it's not worth the risk, i'd rather spend the money on the car rather than hand it over for nothing.

I was out too, I own GTR.092 Krishy, I was going to come up and say Hi at BP West Tce, but was a bit worried you's would be like 'who the eff?'. I only followed cos I thought you's were heading out some more, I ended up doing a hills run. Nothing silly just a cruise thru the hills, car was loving the fresh air in the hills, the feel of it put a smile on my face haha.

And yeah, didn't see too many cops out either?

i didnt think anyone was goin to be out lol, was at my mate's place at burton for lunch / dinner

mind you, the whole drive home i think i saw one cop car going the other way (and that was around on bolivar road just afta i left my mates place)

i was out tonight and didnt see a cop once...maybe i was just lucky

Same, i still got my roll cage in and i no cops troubles at all.

On my way to villi's i spotted a car trying to do a u turn next to the new underpass and they didn't notice that the road dropped away about 300-400mm and they were beached bro! :(

I was out and about in the R33 tonight aswell didnt see any cops at all. Spotted some knob jockey in a silvia though.

Funny that...on my way to villis i had a tool in a S13 thinking that his car is the "fully hectik ride bro"...f**king wanker

    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
    • Yeah, I would have said the same. It makes me suggest that there are other things wrong, such that the ECU is totally unhappy with the broken sensor. The only other thought here is that maybe it is shorted, which might cause a different issue to the typical "disconnected" sensor.
