I doubt you will get an R32 VSpec for under 30grand.

And if you are serious about punting the car around tracks at club days etc, then id say that more reason to perhaps consider sticking with your GTST.

I have been for a ride in a well modded R33 VSpec and i agree, with the mods this car had it was awesome. But i also stop and look at the money it has had spent on it, and also the investment it represents if something were to go wrong or break.

I have also been for a ride in a std R33 Vspec at a circuit, and whilst again very impressive for a std car, i would take my modded 32 GTST which i believe was quicker.

Also having been a passenger in a car that got bent at the track, the risk is real, and unless you are engaged in some form of competitive motorsports or need bragging rights about having the quickest car at the track, GTST are cheaper, as much/more fun, cheper to run/repair.

If you spend all your time on the street, with say 1 or 2 track days a year go the GTR, but unless you have some bankroll ready for track work in your GTR, then id say stick with the cheaper GTST and bash it around circuits 12 time a year.

Yeah, he wants a hell of a lot more than thirty grand for the 32 Vspec, try more like 45. I am leaning more towards the 32, for the driving experience but, as personal preference I like the look of the 33 GTR more but this 32 looked real nice. I have thought long and hard about the maintanence factor as I am aware that GTRs do require a strict maintanence regime if you want it to stay healthy, and this has hit home more today as my 33 has just shat a seal (looks like the crank case seal?) and is spraying out oil everywhere. When I mean everywhere I mean everywhere, from the front of the motor to the rear underside of the car! And doesn't it stink! I regularly service my car (oil and oil filter every 5000km, everything else every 10000km) and have still been caught out by this. I am hoping it is nothing too serious as it may put a delay on my plans.

At this stage my choice would be the 32 Vspec, a rare car, was in vgc, very quick with all the benfits of the vspec extras.

45.. It had better be a 1994 V-Spec with like 20,000 genuine km's on the clock.

I would just personally import a close-as-possible to stock standard '92-94 v-spec from Japan.. You will have to wait a few months but you should save yourself about $15k.

Pentae...R32 V-specs cost more then R33s... they are expensive becasuse they are still desired in the Japanese market... you wont find a very good example for 30k, if indeed you can actually find one at that price.

R32 V-specs are not as common or as easy to pick up as later model V-specs.

Whilst the v-spec is a very nice car I find it hard to see value in the extra money people are talking about. I think you could buy a very nice tight 32 GTR and modd it to be every bit as good and have a lot of change. Just my 2 cents.

Well, the decisions has been made. After alot tooing and froing from 32 or 33 GTR I have decided on the 33. On Friday a Grade 4.5 R33 GTR Vspec came up and it is now mine! Just got to wait for its arrival now (how painful), the next available ship leaves on the 16th Jan and arrives on the 28th Jan.

I only have the auction pics at the moment, should be getting more by the end of the week when it has been transported for the auction yard. Its stock, bar the exhaust, which as you can see is aftermarket.

Can't wait to drive it!!!!

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
