lunch time nigs. Time for nandos. Then after that I should probably do some work...probably.

Me too im getting so behind at work cause of all the thread commotion

-.-;

Just came back from a meeting and I've gotta read 4 pages worth. Well not really worth read after finishing it. WHORES!

Dan: you'll get there eventually and maybe faster if you didnt get the 34! You could probably buy a cheap 34gtr with the money you've spent so far.

I wouldnt have to settle for a cheap one with the money I have spent. Turn back time!!!! lets do it.

lol. Return it no less than 30 days before you purchased it. Shouldn't be too hard with a flux capacitor on board eh.

Haha... I dont care what you call me because to each his own. To me, my top priority is to get the homeloan down to reasonable level and get a 2nd one.

i am just not getting overly involved in the whole wedding cost thing. i figure i let her go, then i can go nuts on the car next year. every time she says "but...." my reply is, we spent 30k on the wedding.

we already own two properties and a block of land so no need to save for anything else.

what time are you guys planning on being down there tonight, and till when? I have a work function at Ribbets at 7pm. Think it should be done by 8:30ish

Will swing past see if you are still there

Correct

BUT . . . . It wouldnt be as fast or as sexy as the gtt is going to be when its finished

LMAO. Thats the way. Now you've got the excuse for that. But in any case, the price you're paying sound pretty decent for a wedding. And in most cases, the catering's the killer. Lucky I got the "red packet" deal which helped a fair bit.

Correct

Maybe true to the 1st part but IMO, never to the 2nd (unless you've got a full kit which probably wouldnt look like a gtt anyway). My love for 34gtr has never changed.

Correct

Second point is debatable :)

How much power are you expecting after its all tuned up?

    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
