Ro and I were having a bit of fun coming down mt lindesay hwy saw the cops ahead of us. Slowed down as we drove past someone in a Toyata Yaris or something similar hit the guard rail. Car was a f**king mess.

So after we get out of range of the cops we have a bit more fun. Slow down coming through the road works at Parkridge doing about 80km/h in the 60 zone and theres a car coming in the opposite direction. Start thinking about slowing down. Car goes past us and all I saw was the POLICE written on the side. FARK!!! Slow right down to 55km/h lol and look in the rear view mirror. Cops are doing a u turn. So they catch up to me while I'm doing 60km/h and after about 2 mins following me the lights go on. So I pull over thinking I'm f**ked in the ass. They take forever giving me an RBT n checking the plates n my licence and all that good stuff. Cop started asking me questions then convo went like

Cop: So where are you coming back from?

Me: eeerrr...Milton?

Cop: Milton! What were you doing there?

Me: Getting ice cream?

Cop: Ice cream?

Me: Yep ice cream.

Cop: You went all the way to Milton for ice cream?

Me: Its good ice cream.

Cop: What else have you been doing?

Me: Car wash...

Cop: Were you with that other guy?(Ro)

Me: Yep.

Cop: Okay you can go.

Me: Sweet.

And that was why the drive home was interesting.

Haha thats awesome. Reminds me of one time I got pulled over in durack when I lived in petrie. Back in my lan party days, we were lanning it up in a mate's sisters house while she was on holidays, and had to go and get grog. On the way back from the bottle shop, in my dirty aus spec 31, low and loud, full of 5 people, SH*TLOADs of alcohol, and a cop car goes past the other way. One of my mates in the back seats goes "COPS" and waves/points at them with a bottle of vodka out the window. They U-Turn, sirens come on.

Cop: Had anything to drink today?

Me: Not Yet! :(

*RBTs me*

Cop: Licence please....

*Hands over licence

Cop: Still live at Petrie?

Me: Yes

Cop: What are you doing all the way over here?

Me: Lan Party

Cop: What?

Me: Errmmm.. playing computer games and stuff. Minding a friends house while their on holidays.

Cop: Oh... what do you need all this alcohol for?

Me: Goes well with computer games

Cop: Right... Any of these bottles opened?

Me: No

*Cop checks then sends me on my way with some kind of warning about drink driving/drinking too much

Best bit was his mate was walking round checking all over the car while this was going on, but they didnt get me for anything (even though it was too low, too loud, and tyres were pretty bald)

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
