tis going well. Needs another wash, cant keep the bitch clean. I'm going to order one of those just jap oil coolers. 19 row or 25 row? Will I have any problems with space with a 25 row one?

You'll have trouble with a 25 row but they can still be made to fit on the passenger side. Usually a 19row is fine if you aren't going to be dedicating the car to track events only.

Putting the 25 row over on the passenger side sometimes requires some custom braided lines to be made which adds cost to the kit price.

sweet ill go with the 19 row one then. Should be fine for what it gets used for now. It might see a few track days in the near future is funds allow it :P Rebuild here we come hurrah

oh and ridiculously pissed. Lost some money at the casino on the weekend and it appears my quick n dirty table math was a little off. Some dumb american bitch hit runner runner straight on me. I figured it out at the table to be about 19 - 1 against but its actually around 68 - 1. Gay shit lol.

You might get me on the straights but I'd have you in the corners. Many underestimate the mighty Hatch-Ute's potential.

Speaking of corners, you need to contact Noel. He mentioned yesterday that he needed to get in contact with Gonzo and you might know how.

Ill see Gonzo on Monday if that helps...what does he need ?

and Molly Quinn is hotter than hot boyo. Martin knows the score :P

Damn Straight!

apart from the whole 16 year old business i'll wait another year.

You have much to learn, my young apprentice

    • This. The R34 handbrake icon DOES come up when the brake fluid level is low. You might be sitting right on that threshhold. I have been down this diagnosis path and this was the solution (and it was pretty much as full as your picture is to begin with).
    • Unfortunately the cavaet to that is that while any scan tool should be able to read the code, the workshop will need a consult plug to OBD socket adapter. You don't have a location on your profile, where are you based?
    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
