Yea you can count on Dave anytime. Let me know if you dont have his number. He's like those mobile RACQ only better. HAHAHA!

count on and dave should never be used in the same sentence and my number is 1800 lick me :P RACQ on the other hand can be counted on.

Car broke down yesterday.

Not happy :(

:P

I think my thermostat isn't working :) Temp on the dash board said it was ok but when it was cool it took two litres of water in the radiator. Fouled up one of the plugs and was only running on 5 cylinders. A hose on the intake was split and sucked a bunch of sh_t into the throttle body. Fun fun fun... considering I only just got it serviced not that long ago :)

Seems to be ok now. Keep my fingers crossed and everything else too

all fixed? hopefully whoever serviced it can fix it up :)

jase thats f**kin ghey !!

on the other hand this might cheer you up...

ello fellas,

seems like u guys had fun on the cruise, sorry couldnt cum i was tired from all the twistie driving at springbrook i did all night long on saturday,

anyway hopefully if Dan replies by 2marrow morning, car is going to ERD tomorrow to begin work on tranmission, currently due to lack of funds im only doing the gearbox rebuild, cam gears, front pipes, high flow cat, and apexi power fc, and then the service, keeping the rims and tyres and not sure if any monies will be left for the suspension kit.

aiming for 250awkw at 1 bar after everything is done,

and oh yeh getting sum guages and apexi boost controller kit as well :ninja:

cyaz all after everythin is done,

Ok so i am unfortunently back in range of mobile and internet coverage, enjoyed my 10 days away from it all though. 454km each way in my 31 with hard suspension isn't the best for your back though.

35km of dirt road however.......

Cleaned the plug it was all fouled up. Started it up and idled ok. You go to the hamilton pub ? Im sure I've seen your car parked there a couple of times.

Hahahaha it's funny you should mention that, I know the car you mean and it looks a lot like mine! I've seen it there a handful of times too.

I parked in the dan murphys car park one night, went in and got some yumyums, and when I came out he'd parked next to me, and I suddenly had a business card on my window that was advertising a facebook group about drifting? I think I still have it somewhere, I'll try and find it. Not sure if it was him who did it, but I cna only put 2 and 2 together here hahahaha...... I mean c'mon!

What are you like at placing, say a nut onto a bolt?

cross threaded. every time.

congrats!!

spanks :ninja:

Now, you, me* and Mt Cotton next year :)

*Chance's of my car moving in the next 12 months are slim to nothing

Hell keen to hit up that mt cotton track attack day next yeah hey :ninja:

cross threaded. every time.

spanks :)

Serious? Work on my car, i need some cross threaded action.

Do the Tighe Cams Series, but keep an eye on the MGCC site for the entry form, they get mailed to people who have enter'd in the past and 9 times out of 10 the series fill's up via the mail-outs pretty quick.

    • Update 4: Hi all. The car drives again! Haven't driven for long, only to store it in the garage again, but the test drive was successful. The coolant and oil leaks seem to be fixed for now. Temps on the engine were also very good, while moving I never even saw 80C water during the approx. 30 minute drive. Ate up all the coolant in the reservoir though so will have to fill that even more when I go to the car next time. One thing that pisses me off is that the RPM gauge is still f**ked, I even resoldered the board twice and used copper paste on the silly screws that are used as connections. Next time I take it out I'll take apart the board and fit new components, I'll see if I can get a replacement IC for it.  I have an appointment set for 22nd of September for the engine tune to 370hp. Alignment also still needs to be done. My hope is that I can get all the legal stuff over with by the end of this season. Anyone of you have advice regarding intercoolers? Currently there is an APEXI core fitted, one of those weird hybrid ones, 600x270x76. I don't think it's bad but it's not new and now I still have the chance to change it now to legally include it in the paperwork. Only issue is that the only options that would arrive in time are a HKS Type R intercooler or generic Ebay spec intercoolers comparable to a JustJap one. Ideally I'd order a Plazmaman but it takes over a month to receive which would mean making the car legal has to wait until next season. Would love to hear some input on this. Same story for my injectors, the previous owner was a nunce and put ID 1050x on the engine. They work but are obviously not ideal at "normal" power levels. But I don't see a reason to change them unless the tuner says it's necessary. I read online before buying a different exhaust that the top secret style rear diffusers won't fit due to the size of the rear resonators. My buddy and I made it work by slightly "adjusting the shape" of the mounting bracket and making some spacers out of 3d print for the mounting bolts. Fits like a charm. Just putting this here in case someone has this problem. Even the hefty HKS Silent Hi Power rear can fits without hitting anything.
    • Well they got my money but they are not getting my gearbox !
    • It's needed for rolling idle up, and I think it is a decider on VCT also.
    • I mean, not really. Link ECU's can absolutely still have errors from the ECU thinking it's getting a sensor it's not expecting. I would imagine the speed at the ECU level in Nistune does absolutely nothing anyway? I assume the ECU does not do any fancy TC stuff with regards to front+rear wheel speed or anything of that like anyway. Someone who uses Nistune may be more fluent in it.
    • Not yet quite as bad as what we've seen a Jim Berry clutch do in an R32 GTR though when it decided to cut a chassis rail in half... Still very very gnarly and a great reason to avoid.
