No water at Aspley. Don't know what's happened at the workshop yet, they haven't shown windsor on the news. They seem to only be concentrating on yuppie suburbs where houses are worth more, and big industrial areas.

My sister's shop is in the homezone there at windsor (low lying and flood prone). They didn't get flooded.

Could just be that they can't fly over the breakfast creek area due to the airport etc. Would be very interested to see what's going ont here, An aunt's got a renter there that we're goign to help her clean up.supposedly its up over the windows.

We didn't get hit. Plenty of places around us did though. We we're lucky. Hope everyone else is doing okay. We're still without power until late tomorrow according to energex. Baskins tonight lol?

Ah sweet. If they didn't, then we didn't. That'll make tomorrow's clean up heaps easy and we should be able to move all the cars back. I wonder if they'll ship us off to newstead later in the day to sort that out...

Went down to Windsor last night and parts were underwater with roads cut off, especially around the bowls club.

Albion maccas -> breakfast creek was eerie last night. No lights, floodwater up on the road.

People were scaaaaarrrred.

Went into town last night with a mate. There is some construction happening on Mary street where they are building a 93 story building (I think). When we got there, only a small amount of water was making it's way into the big hole in the ground. At 1.30 this morning is was gushing in like a waterfall. I think we saw the water level rise in the hole by about 3 meters. The hole is about 100m x 200m by ??? deep. Big-Fark-Off hole.

Our workshop in the valley is fine, got water around it but was still 2 metres off getting to the floor level, didn't even need to fire up the pumps in the basement.

Keen for baskin's tonight

Scott, the building on Mary street is being built by Mirvac or Meriton can't remember which. 11 levels of basement. deepest basement in the southern hemisphere apparently.

Mangs we have power back in Taringa thank god. Back in work tomorrow though. The office didn't flood so I'm back in lol.

Martin we can get in no worries, i'll chart a course!

Nautical theme tonight, bring your R33's

SexF is a bit of a boat...

It would take me probably half an hour to even get to your place. Youngs crossing, Petrie Bridge, and Dohles Rocks Rd all stil closed. I'll have to go down to the bruce at mango hill then up to bald hills then back to your place. Maybe we should meet at bald hills or aspley or something then go from there?

    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
    • EMU Classic. For what I need it to do I see no reason to upgrade. Link and Haltech would both cost an extra chunk of money for a lot of unutilized features
