Morning Mangs,

Monday :(

On the bright side though... 2 day week! :D

how??

I have tommorrow and wed off (sort of) would love to know how you score a 5 days off..

heaps winning. Strayan as f*ck.

nah. What you needed to do was go "well now that you've given me those 2 days off for a 5 day weekend i'm hardly likely to turn up on monday and tuesday, so why don't you give me those off too"

Unfortunately, I've got a workshop to go to next week :(

T minus 4 hours and counting

similar setup here. last day of the week. tons of work....

is there noticeable improvements in ride with hubcentric rings? getting some longer wheel studs from gktech and wondering whether I should get some to go with my wheels and spacers?

you should, but 10mm slip ons are thicker than the hubcentric rings so they probably won't do anything.

What you really should do is get custom spacers made that match the hub center bore on the inside and the wheel center bore on the outside, then no need for rings!

what you should do is get the right offset wheels. Failing that you can buy hubcentric spacers.

it's not the offset of the wheel that's the issue, it's the fact that one sits flush with the guard where the other noticeably sits about 10mm in, and it's giving me the shits.

will google hubcentric spacers

but in general, are hub centric rings recommended on aftermarket wheels?

Heard that misso, It is very common with skylines. I dont think I have seen them the same yet.

ARC are a bunch of smart cookies. Their sidemounts bolt in just fine... its just when you go put the wheel arch lining on that stuff starts to get distorted. But still, its bolt on :P

Nothing to serious though, it can easily be secured by the bolts/attachers that do fit, and zip ties to do the rest, so its not going anywhere, but just a bit floppy.

There isn't. Maybe the kit came with a new lining when new? It only needs to go back 5-10mm. Like i said, the standard one fits over it with a little bending meaning osme of the other mounting poitns are out.

and don't get me wrong, i'm stoked with the cooler itself.

    • I'll get one of these also just for giggles
    • I bought 6 new spark plugs to compare readings. They will be here tomorrow and ill see if meter is far off if it all. I know one is at least reading 0 so its best replace all anyway if one is bad, from experience. I still have to test the harness just to be sure its not a double issue and I waste my time haha-the old plugs are iridium I always thought those lasted more than 50,000 km.
    • If you take the top half of the intake off you can unbolt the flap off the shaft and leave the shaft in there blocking the hole. Then you can remove the little vacuum canister off from under the manifold and get a spare vacuum line to run to the ECU. I can take some photos of it later. Probably best to get the vacuum source to the ECU sorted first though. Mine all worked mint with the base map from the GTT an I've pretty much let the closed loop sort the fueling and took 1 degree out of the whole timing map.
    • This IS something you also have to configure in Haltech (or at least I did in the past when going from onboard-to-ECU map sensor and an external MAP sensor in haltech land).
    • I'm hoping it's something as simple as the ECU is looking for an external MAP sensor, but he is trying to use the onboard MAP sensor.
