Hence why rich people buy Ferraris and Lambos. To look good. If they wanted performance they'd buy race cars with numberplates on them.

There isn't much more room in the back of a 4-door compared to a 2-door and the idea is to have Paul in a GTR, which is actually his favourite car, hence why they show up in the 2nd and 4th movie. Also, I havnt seen a tough 4-door
