Hey,

I'm an idiot :P . I thought 215/45/17 would fit on the front on my MR2 and they do as long as I don't go around any corners. They've only driven around 60km (of the slowest driving you've seen) and weren't damaged at all. They are very sticky tyres (have them on the rears) and should get reasonable tire life.

They are:

2 x Kumho Escta XS (KU36)

The RRP is $250 each and I picked them up for $220 each. I'd be happy to get $300 for both.

They are in Leichhardt NSW and they are pickup only. I can be contacted on 0401168246 or during business hours at [email protected]

i think it was on one of the traders on nissansilvia.com

Well what can I say. I can't see any adds for them there. Kuhmo make more than one semi-slick so I 'd have to assume that they weren't KU36s.

The only other KU36's I've seen advertised was on Ebay and they were 2 x 235/45/17 and were going for $480 a pair

They are street legal BTW.

A workshop in Brisbane sells them for $139 but that was 235/45/17......

Well 215/45/17 are a more expensive tire but I'm still not sure how they can do that price. Are you 100% that they are KU36s?

Right then. They are importing their own tyres and selling them for a good prices. I'll definitely check them out when I need new one. However, I've spoken to them and the tires are now $180 each (shipped to sydney) and they are almost out os stock. The price are unkown for the next batch they import which probably means they will go up.

So I have 'as new' tires that cost $360 new. I'll drop the price to $250

    • The fancy pants red shock tower brace is finally incoming from MX5 Mania, getting it shipped from 'Merica has been a long and problematic process, and GWR, the 'Merican supplier will not ship directly to consumers outside of the US, Mania basically had to order a heap of them, the colour choice was silver, or red, and we all know anything red adds 5 killerwasps of dynotorques..... Whilst it does fit over a 2.5, and I've seen a few photos and videos of it being installed and fitting, google also says it might get real close to the FAB9 intake front runner, people in the US says it does fit with the FAB9 intake, except for one person who said it slightly touched.......so there is that.....LOL..... As it seems that I am the first in AU to have this combination of parts there's no local knowledge about fitment, so I'm just a willing guinea pig in this endeavour, I'll cross my fingers and toes and hope for the best In other news, I ordered stuff from China  on the same day I ordered the 23° silicone bend from Victoria, the stuff from China arrived a day ago, the 23° silicone bend is still travelling around Australia thanks to Australia Post, and "may" be here next week
    • Very good news...I contacted Racebox about it last night. My car is a 2016 so remains to be seen if it is compatible, requires a TCU swap, or is impossible.
    • What ECU are you running? This is probably the biggest question. If it's a PowerFC, I'd probably change the ECU and get something newer that will handle the injectors in a nicer way.
