Of course anyone can walk out on a contractual obligations but it kind of makes their options elsewhere a little more limited.

At the moment it's still looking like the 8 teams united under FOTA will go F1 racing next year with a reduced budget and it doesn't look like Max is going to be a candidate for re-election.

You think thats the precursor to kimi leaving F1 at the end of the year and alonso taking his seat?? =\

/me is not a huge alonso fan

f**k i hope not...Kimi is about the only one left with some form of his own opinon and not one who tow's the company line word for word

I beleive they've agreed to cutting costs back to what they were spending in the early 90's but they're going to do it over a number of years not all in one go.

NOOOOOO they need melbourne.....its a challenging course....specially being only one of the few street events....

either that or come back to adeliade

congrats to mark!

i have this suspission that he actually had heavier fuel than vettel!! seems like RBR stratergy is that the person with the more agressive fule load for qualifying goes 2nd out of the garage... but being on a cold track, i think the heavier fuel load was getting the temps into the tires better and hence getting the speed in qualifying. similar reason as to what happened last race with the fuel loads reversed!

tho there still seems to be a gap between brawn/RBR and the rest of the field =\

Congrats Mark Webber. Big win, especially after the drive through.

On another note, did anyone see Barrichello's outburst after the race. No doubt Brawn is probably favouring Button, but that was pretty unprofessional. I don't think we'll see him at Brawn next year...

Massive win! I went to bed after he had his drive through penalty handed to him but had a gut feeling he might still be in the race looking at the distance back to 3rd and the fact that rubens was coming in 5 laps earlier...

What did Rubens have to say this time?? Must hand it to the guy he always plays second fiddle in the team(s)

Well done to mark webber on his first career victory.....it was an awesome race last night and Webber did everything just right.....even serving a drive through penalty for contact on the first lap and he still managed to win the race with a decent margin....RBR 1-2 good to see them challenging for podium finishes and race victory.....Brawn cars just demolished their tyres which goes to show how much RBR have improved.....

Just when you thought no Ferrari chit chat lol......Massa finished 3rd and drove a stunning race mind you holing Barichello for a few laps was good to watch....Ferrari have improved immensely since the first round here in Oz.....Hamilton finished last....oh so happy to see Mclaren doing so bad this season lol.....

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
