Dyno Dynamics can run the car all they want, what is that going to prove...? It may or may not be within the limits of the software used.

Another car that got 339rwhp = 255rwkw on your dyno manages 111mph. On the dyno i use a 200rwkw gts-t will do the same TS.

Until we have a fixed form of measuring power that is used across the country, there is no point in quoting power figures.

Wolf plugins for Skylines is about 1 year old now and was basicly the first in the range. We have things like VLs etc on the market now and the list is growing fast. Sydneykid, please check your facts before posting as you are making a lot of false statements.

Yes but you arnt taking into account how bad I am at drag racing :P On the strip I never can get it right, look at my 60' times :) I need someone to be sitting in the car coaching me what to be doing and when and how, or I could let someone like rev210 or steve-sst, who know what they are doing, drive the car.

Need me to drive?

no worries rob! :P

I've actually been in Robs car, it has the power. Rob is a little too kind in shifting gears, something he can get help with I'm sure.

Rob how about giving us the 660 and 1000ft times and speeds, this will hopefully show the issue you had with the power drop.

I've actually been in Robs car, it has the power.

Being a passanger in a car that's equipped with a Trust turbo like the TD06 may give you the impression that it's fast. Unless he was having a nap on the 1-2 change, a coffee on the 2-3 change and maybe a quickie on the 3-4 change, that 111mph is a good indicator of the power. :P

He didn't have one run and pack up, he had 5-6 runs, out of which the 111mph was the best. 13.88 is obviously is slow for the mph and can be improved on but i can't see anyone else improving on the mph by more than 1-2mph.

Incidentally, do you have a graph of your dyno run Rob...?

ROFL.......so you seriously think a car with a TD06 is going to produce similar power to the stock RB25 turbo?

If you are experienced in drag racing, you would know that drivers can make a massive difference in times, as dozens of other things will too.

If dyno dynamics say the dyno is reading accurately, what better comparison is there for power figures (when using shootout mode)? seriously.

but you are saying that its not? I think you are completely wrong. Trust have been producing these turbos for years and sold thousands of them cos they are only as good as the stocker, but make the car feel faster????

Dyno Dynamic are forcing tough new Dyno procedures so they would not like to hear you comments. A mates car runs 11.4@112mph with 307rwhp on my dyno so a driver can have a big effect on 1/4 performance. Trust products are outstanding and been around for a long time so these comments are pointless. We will get Robs car down the 1/4 fast soon!Rob and Pauls cars are well planned cars built at a low cost and they have every right to be proud of their effort so stop grizzling and do better your self.

Yes this is true and the good thing is they acted fast and i came up clean plus GTSt Vspecs car was tested 5 days ago and after the dyno tests were done.. The new software is going to clean up the market,DD own the new procedures and will take it away from any shop tampering with it.If you think you get a fudged power run please report it even if its from me.I pushed hard to get this thru its just a pitty we can't clean up other brand dynos but they are a minority anyway.Look for Shootout accredited DD dynos Australia wide from now on to be sure you get the facts and then you can compare your car to any car featured in any mag world wide tested this way.

You are still comparing figures taken on different dynos. How do you know a GTS-T with a stock turbo gets 200rwkw on the dyno i use?

TD06-20G can support between 380-420hp at the engine depending on the trim. It is good to see that some can manage this just on 1 bar.

No one is looking at the times. His best mph of 111 out of 5-6 runs is a good indication of power unless he was on a leisurely drive.

Time will tell whether the 'shootout mode' is the new form of measuring power. From what i've seen so far, we are gonna get figures similar to the ones taken in US from their DynoJets.

If you are running the TD06 only on 1 bar, it'd be marginally faster than a well set-up stock turbo; however it would feel quite faster than before because of the way it spools up.

Steve-SST,

If you think the TD06 is an outstanding turbo good for you dude. I haven't knocked Pauls's or Rob's cars and efforts, if it came across that way i apologise. I've only been commenting on the power figures quoted cause it seems to be a bit high and at every where i look lately.

EDIT: And don't you worry, as soon as i get of my P's i will start to modify my car as well.

    • Oh dear. The panel beating needs to be done before the filler work. Do you have a photo of the dent before you started? Hard enough to not flex and only hit the high spots?  What do you mean it was just temporary?
    • Can u check this way it works for power supply?
    • These coils draw 10amps that what i read online
    • I appreciate the detailed explanation, think I understand now. I spent the better part of last night reading what I could about shuffle and potential solutions. I had replaced the OEM twin turbo pipe with an alternate Y pipe that is separated further away from the turbo. The current one is from HKS and I had a previous pipe that was separated even further away, both have shuffle. I had heard that a divider can be welded in to the OEM pipe to remove turbulence, and figure that aftermarket pipes that are more separated would achieve the same thing. From what I read, most people with -10 turbos get shuffle due to their size, though it's a bit less common with -5s on a standard RB26. I think Nismoid mentioned somewhere it's because OEM recirculation piping is common in Australia with -5 cars. It seems that the recommendation tends to vary between a few options, which I've ordered in what I think is most feasible for me:  1. Retune the MAP or boost controller to try to eliminate shuffle 2. Install OEM recirculation piping 3. Something called a 'balance pipe' welded onto the exhaust manifolds. I don't know if kits for this are available, seems like pure fabrication work 4. simply go single turbo My current layout is as follows: Garrett 2860 -5s HKS Racing Suction intake MAF delete pipes HKS racing chamber intake piping hard intercooler piping,  ARC intercooler HKS SSQV BOV and pipe Haltech 2500 elite ECU and boost solenoid/controller HPI dump pipes OEM exhaust manifolds HKS VCAM step 1 and supporting head modifications Built 2.6 bottom end All OEM recirculation piping was removed, relevant areas sealed off I'll keep an eye out for any alternative solutions but can get started with this.  Only other question is, does shuffle harm the turbo (or anything else)? It seems like some people say your turbo shafts will explode because of the opposing forces after a while and others say they just live with it and adjust their pedal foot accordingly.
    • That worked out PERFECTLY! Thank you big time to JJ. He was able to swap me his stock diff. He drove all the way to me as well. Killer! Removal & install was pretty straightforward. The diff itself is HEAVY. So that’s a 2 man job.  Man does the car drive nice now! Couldn’t have worked out any better 👌
