Hi Guys,

Hope that I have secured a bonnet for my car but my carry-all has fallen through. If I can lean on the gracious spirits of the Forum community to help out before I lash and hire a ute for the night it would be greatly appreciated. I will be picking it up on Tuesday night in the city and dropping it off in Cheltnham at the shop.

Please call if you can help out. Can shout you a McDonalds Sundae or whatever your gracious time is worth.

Thanks in advance

Bart

lol last time i picked up a bonnet i drove to the destination minus one...then fitted up new one and voila...job done...nb: this was over west side tho...and we all know how the west is!!!

I may be able to help you tonight if you still need ....( time depending )

I am in Port Melbourne......so can easily jump into the city and then shoot down to Cheltenham as I have to go to Mordy tonight anyway.

If you think it will fit in a Ute and can do it sometime between 5 & 7pm tonight let me know 0411 078 783 ( leave a message if no answer )

Thanks racin8 and mastadd.

No Thanks to you cheeky post jumpers :P

Have sorted a car from work. Anyone need something moved tonight. I am now a MAN-WITH-A-VAN. Already moving a BBQ from South to North then picking up my Hood I hope. Jenno call me please, otherwise all of this was for nothing.

Thanks again guys see you all soon when she has an engine in her.

I didn't realize your car wasnt running LOL...if i had a 32 id def help you out...sorry my whale wont fit the bonnet. However driving over this side minus a bonnet might attract a little attention from the popo. :)

Well all of that for nothing. Dude didn't ring me so waited all night for nothing...... Then had to return the Van....

Well at least I know where and how to get a van...

If anyone else needs a hand some time let me know....

Bart

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
