Shane don't worry about this thread, its been going on for over 20 pages. I have considered doing just what you have said too, but when you meet the people who want to make this happen at the meetings, this thread and the meetings that have been held couldn't be further apart. But I have made the commitment to supporting the club regardless of what gets said. I hope you will reconsider, because like you're saying - the crap is on this site. It's not at the meetings for the club.

I've ignored this stupid statement enough. I never said that Vilis was the SAU SA clubrooms ... so where did that come from? :)

I will be looking into the Directors pub for our SAU SA meetings.

For any persons interest in the club ... do not take whats been said here as gospel. PM or email me for the facts ... not speculation.

never received i thought it may have just been over looked

Sorry Steve, you were overlooked. Its hard keeping up :) Email sent buddy.

I dont see why people are getting so upset about all of this? Stewy is bringing up some genuine points here, because he has already addressed his reasoning for not attending the next meeting. geez.

Hence, why I'm not answering the same questions or the same assumptions over and over ... or the bullshit unproductive posts.
The Constitution is written in such a way that no person can elect themselves to a leadership or support role. The interim committee will be the body to nominate persons for positions within the club, which will go to a vote by paid members. Therefore I've pretty much written myself out of any leadership.

The club has not even established its Club Committee yet, but still some people are saying they're not joining because of certain people they know having a hand in putting it together. Too many people getting ahead of themselves and being extremely judgemental with so little information and mostly assumptions.

The meet at Vilis is a regular thing we do on Friday nights. Doesn't matter if its a pub or Vilis, we are still meeting at a venue which caters for our numbers ... and its a venue we are familiar with and has readily available parking. It wasn't a designated Interim Committee meet, just a normal friday night gathering.
that wasnt really my point, as a minimum recognising drift or grip practices would be nice considering they are the most popular regular CAMS events on the calendar. so far all i see is a bunch of people wanting to pay $$ just so they can meet up at villis on a friday night. seems pointless to me. i want to know what people expect to achieve out of this club, why should people join besides having a membership card or something? if people want CAMS affiliation so they can get a CAMS license then SCCSA are cheap as shit and they have a lot more to offer (so far)

call me negative, it just seems the only real selling point for this club is the novelty of being apart of the SAUSA club.

u can either call me names (and deeply hurt my feelings, whilst making yourself look infinitely mature), or u can actually provide an answer.

we're getting away from the point and arguing technicalities, which will just complicate the thread further.

as far as the last statement goes, refer back to here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4563303

i cbf repeating myself.

I'm sure others cbf repeating themselves either.

It has already been stated that CAMS events are high on the agenda......Damo has even asked for a motorsports events coordinator to be elected.......I suggest you go over the whole thread again rather than posting the same question over and over again.

It has been said a million times already, the club is in its infancy stages and as important as events are and will be, the setting up of the club's committee is the main priority now.

And Shane, don't let a few members that don't read every post to get their info upset you mate, cause I actually believe you need to be on the committee with your experience.

I'm done with this thread....refer to the other one.

Thread Locked.

    • Yeah well per the video it took 15s for the stock unit to start up....even if I give it a few seconds discount for starting that is at least 12 sec before you get a reverse camera if you are trying to leave a park.  The android unit is way faster, but 2016 for the stock unit is a long time ago in consumer electronics
    • Yea that’s why I said ima test them with multimeter and see the reads.
    • Only at idle. Isn’t a problem when rev it seems.
    • @Haggerty This seems silly to ask, but are you confident in your ability to tune the Haltech?
    • Next on the to-do list was an oil and filter change. Nothing exciting to add here except the oil filter is in a really stupid place (facing the engine mount/subframe/steering rack). GReddy do a relocation kit which puts it towards the gearbox, I would have preferred towards the front but there's obviously a lot more stuff there. Something I'll have to look at for the next service perhaps. First time using Valvoline oil, although I can't see it being any different to most other brands Nice... The oil filter location... At least the subframe wont rust any time soon I picked up a genuine fuel filter, this is part of the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank. Access can be found underneath the rear seat, you'll see this triangular cover Remove the 3x plastic 10mm nuts and lift the cover up, pushing the rubber grommet through The yellow fuel line clips push out in opposite directions, remove these completely. The two moulded fuel lines can now pull upwards to disconnect, along with the wire electrical plug. There's 8x 8mm bolts that secure the black retaining ring. The fuel pump assembly is now ready to lift out. Be mindful of the fuel hose on the side, the hose clamp on mine was catching the hose preventing it from lifting up The fuel pump/filter has an upper and lower section held on by 4 pressure clips. These did take a little bit of force, it sounded like the plastic tabs were going to break but they didn't (don't worry!) The lower section helps mount the fuel pump, there's a circular rubber gasket/grommet/seal thing on the bottom where the sock is. Undo the hose clip on the short fuel hose on the side to disconnect it from the 3 way distribution pipe to be able to lift the upper half away. Don't forget to unplug the fuel pump too! There's a few rubber O rings that will need transferring to the new filter housing, I show these in the video at the bottom of this write up. Reassembly is the reverse Here's a photo of the new filter installed, you'll be able to see where the tabs are more clearing against the yellow OEM plastic Once the assembly is re-installed, I turned the engine over a few times to help build up fuel pressure. I did panic when the car stopped turning over but I could hear the fuel pump making a noise. It eventually started and has been fine since. Found my 'lucky' coin underneath the rear seat too The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44&t=6s
