OK so we want 350GT with these colours and the "curly" font on the Club Austalia. What font do we want for the 350GT?

I like the stroke around the GT and the reflection off the 350. Not too keen on the font of the last one from sethaiyaar (350GT)

I agree the last sethaiyaar 350GT font is not quite there now... I like the Club Australia thing tho.

Make it a little more rounded and 'even' in shape.

Make all the legs of the letters the same thickness.

proportion too big... maybe kind of make it smaller for the rear quarter windows?

it's just like someone wearing a Polo Ralph Lauren t-shirt with this HUGE logo over the chest and made himself kinda look like a real showoff wanker.

i still think that too large,...you see the reason i did the logo above is that the 'club australia' sits under the 350 and it doesn't protrude out as much from the bottom, that way the height of the logo is reduced....since all you guys know its not a terrebly large window we have.

1- the reason i chose the font is that the original font is too plain, this gives it a lil 'omph' hehe

2- v35paul- but the colour of the 350 has to remain a shade of grey to maintain the theme.

3- stephan thorpe what do u mean by keeping all the legs the same?

btw, i can make ANY mod to the logos ive done, size, coulour, font, spacing, angles, skew etc...

one more thing, why dont we get the best ones and make a poll?

good idea and what I meant is make the whole font uniform width... all the way around each letter

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/po...8171-LogoV7.jpg

This one has unequal sections of letter...

can you see?

Th ones on the car look good though so you must have done something. Or my eyes are going funny.

how about use this idea post-a218171-LogoV7.jpg

but make the 350 flush with the GT at the top, therefore you can move the 'club australia' up a tad and therefore can make it inline,

and also perhaps make the 350's shadow complete, rather than cut off...? or 350 shadow gradually disappear towards the bottom?

and yes, I agree, it needs to be smaller, we don't want to be seen like driving in a supermarket delivery truck/ van with huge 'company' logo on the side.

unequal sections...lol sorry im not getting it, do you mean the spacing b/t the letters?...or the fact that 350 is smaller then the gt or that 350 is in the middle?

oh and rs73, i agree with making it smaller ill do what you sed, but if i make the shadow longer whats the point?...it will increase the height of the sticker

hehe im all for riantos ideas! getting there!

another input, maybe remove the shadow effect on the 350 and replace the "Club Australia" to ivory white. it would idealy put on a tinted glass unless we/someone that own pearl white V35 puts it on their body.

ok here is what rs73 wanted, its just a slight mod from the original (moving up the 350 to accommodate the 'club australia' in order to decrease height):

and here are some just for the sake of it:

im not too keen on taking out the reflection, it helps fill a gap and bring out the writing in the bottom...

i think the best place to put it, is on the rear side panel like V35paul suggested....i was thinking, weather the car is tinted or not, the panel has a black border going around the bottom...if the sticker is placed with the 'club australia' on the black part it will come out very visible...

that is, if it has been modified to a white "club australia" which wld go smthing like this:

    • That's probably OK. That's a face to face compression joint between two surfaces with the clamping load provided by those bolts. So.... it's unlikely that the bolts will end up feeling that load in shear, unless the clamping surfaces are not large enough, bolts not got enough tension on them, etc etc to prevent the two faces from moving wrt each other. Which... I would hope the designers have considered, seeing as it's probably one of the most important things the upright has to do apart from resist collapsing in its own right. But yes, it would definitely be worth asking them what their safety factor on that part of the design was. I tend to think that the casting, being a casting, is not necessarily the strongest bit of material in the world. It's about an inch square, and when you think about the loads that are being put into it, you have to wonder what safety factor the Nissan boys (and every other OEM engineer who has designed all the millions of other uprights that look essentially the same) used to account for defective casting, aging, severe impacts on the wheel, etc etc.
    • Those bolts would be orders of magnitude stronger that cast aluminium though.  And its mainly clamping force, not shear they are dealing with?
    • Except all that twisting force that is breaking a cast piece, appears to be going through 4 bolts in the picture Johnny posted of the BryPar one...
    • The smart approach is to use the gearbox loom from the manual car. Makes it a lot easier - just plugs into the switches on the box and plugs into the main loom up near the fusebox. Then you only need to deal with bypassing the inhibit switch. The other approach requires you to use the wiring diagram to identify those wires by colour and location, perhaps even indulging in a little multimeter action to trace them end to end to make sure, and then.... you will have the answers you need. The R34 wiring diagram is available on-line (no, I do not have a link to it myself - I would have to do a search if I wasn't able to go to the copy I have at home).
    • Hi, i’m converted my r34 4dr auto to manual but need help with gearbox wiring. There are bunch of wires no idea which one for speedo drive, neutral, reverse can anyone help me. IMG_6860.mov
