It shouldnt if you have good plugs in there before you start...

I say that because you should always be putting a good set of plugs in before attemping to tune anyhow so its kinda something that shouldn't be asked.

You cant tune a car thats missing or potentially other problems due to shit plugs

Awesome that helps alot

So in essence, two things

1) if the spark plugs in there were no good , the car would be almost 'untunable' to begin with

2) if the tuner cant work that out from the start, then he's one dumbass of a tuner

Thanks

:D

yup, but then one should always supply a car to the tuner ready to be tuned unless otherwise oraganised.

I have listed 4 basic yet common things that potentialy cause issues with customers cars during a tune. Doing the below yourself saves money and it saves time for the customer and me.

Change plugs (prefer copper RB BCPR7ES or SR BKR7E)

Change oil and filter (cheap insurance..... )

Fill with fuel (many come in empty.... pet hate of mine)

Make sure clutch is fit and healthy (this happens alot.... slipping clutches)

My turn to agree lol :)

Basically a full service needs to be done IMO - so adding to that, things like fuel, air filter and so on.

Also doesnt hurt to give the AFM's a bit of a clean if you haven't in a year or two.

The more time you spending going over and preparing the car, the less chance of issue, time waste and so on.

You always hear these "horror" stories about workshops taking weeks to fix problems etc - but when they are given a half baked car that there were only going to TUNE... it makes fairly reasonable sense it sits there for a few weeks while troublshooting everything
