Don't mean to hijack ... but there is also the SAU SA club BBQ/nomination happening at Ministry of Bass on the Sunday. For those who are concerned about missing this, and not wanting to missing the Drift Supercup event, I can see what I can do about coming out to Mallala after the Ministry of Bass meeting to handout/gather more membership forms and voting forms.

Rather than clog up this thread with responses ... PM me if you are such a person who will be at Drift Supercup, but also want to join SAU SA and vote. If there are enough numbers, I'll take the drive out to Mallala :P

Thanks Penny

why is it so dam expensive $25 bux for what :) that's one thing i hated about the drags

WSID is like $15 to get in and AIR was like $20 for non national even and nationals were like $25 no conc.

/rant

would like to come but to far ahead to tell plus i always do hand over on sundays so have to be either @ the city by 5pm or ridgehaven which means leaving event @ 4pm

steve WSID is always going to be cheaper as they have a much larger number of entrents for local events, BJ couldnt let people in at a loss, he has to cover costs. i'll deff be getting out to this, then the following weekend to the hill climb

Its a good thing entrants in the AJD got themselves a ticket for free entry and parking closer to the paddock. :)

Makes up for the fuel to drive out there :)

edit:

On that note, I may come out to the Saturday session also if anyone wants SAU SA membership forms and committee nominee forms. I'll be wearing my SAU jacket. :woot:

PM me to discuss SAU SA and meeting me out there.

if not workin will be out to watch this, this is a big step in the right direction for drift and motorsport in SA so will be out there showing support.

Was considering entering but seeing as i might only just have my car back together by then if im lucky dont wanna waste a comp trying to learn a new setup.

this is a National event, replacing Drift Australia, you will be seeing the best drivers in Australia battling side by side, $25 is peanuts for what ur getting.

btw ill be there in street class, should be a great day, make sure u tell everyone u know about it and keep National level drift in SA alive.

btw if i remember right, DA was the same $$, so i dont know what the issue is?

ah ok, yep G1 has always been cheaper. G1's are like drift practices with competition basically, DA and no doubt DSC are more like a typical national motorsport event, girls, trader stands, on track entertainment etc, theres a lot more to see and do.

me and flick should definately be at this. I gotta make sure i got the weekend off but flick already does. She should be out doing photography again so get your orders in drivers :D

go on the mallala website and read bout it

states all the times on there

otherwise in the drift section of ns there is a full topic on it

Can't access the schedule, was also not working 4 me yesterday could someone plz post time that it finishes on Sun

The '5S' Carpark

Want to park closer to the action at the Drift Supercup on Sunday 24th May?

If you arrive in a;

Silvia,Soarer,Skyline,Supra or Sprinter

we will have someone strategically placed to direct you into the 5S Carpark.......directly behind the main grandstand. When it is full it is full so you will need to cruise up to Mallala early!

Dont think im too keen on driving the 34 down there however.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
