I got my GTT through them about a year ago ... they were VERY pleasant to deal with prior to handover etc but I've had a bad experience overall.

Paid them $500 for a timing belt change thinking they'd do it locally in their shop but they were busy and gave it to someone else without telling me. Anyway, turns out the other place that did it are a bunch of idiots who couldn't reset my base timing back to 15 degrees and left it at like 5 degrees or something like that, which caused me a lot of wasted time trying to find out why the car ran sluggish.

Oh and at the last moment they stiffed me on new seat covers (the leatherette style ones). When I purchased the car I noticed an ad in the local paper where they offered the free covers with every skyline purchased that month. So I asked them if I'd get this too and they said YES, no worries... then when I came to pick up the car the guy I was dealing with up to that point wasn't even there and just told the other guy who was there giving me the car "NOPE"..

His excuse was piss weak "those covers cost me $500 each and you only saw the ad AFTER you already decided to buy the car" .. Then tried to sell them to me for $400 cash. Pretty much he thought I'd leave the cash deposit that I had on the car to get the covers and I told them nope, that's ok you keep the frigging covers just give me my deposit back. Well I hope that was worth it because everyone can read about it now :P

Overall I'd say it's worth checking out their skyline stock but be weary ..they're car salesman afterall and will stiff ya if they can.

Another place worth checking out would be Edward something on Paramatta Road Concord ..just near the M4 exit. I drive past there often and they have a LOT of 34s in stock all the time. Last time I drove past they had 5-6 really nice 34s at decent prices.

the place is called Edward Lee's and if you search in the nsw section you'll get feedback about this place :P

They probably gave it to the workshop that did my service, I've been fixing my car ever since I left it with that mob.

I originally bought my car from Japlink Motors on parramatta road. They were great to deal with, 5 page State Roads inspection that was very confidence inspiring and the car has been perfect (well, until aforementioned workshop).

i was about to say, edwards has a terrible reputation over the last year ive noticed them,,,, prestige has ok cars depending on the car you get, but they were a good 2-3k more expensive than everyone else back at the end of 2007-beginning of 2008.... if the price is the same as everyone else then i recon get it from them coz they are better than allot of other places for quality of the cars....

I had a look through their stock a few years back. They did have a few nice examples their but they were all overpriced. The person I was dealing with seemed pretty nice. Once I bough my R34 elsewhere for much cheaper I took it in for a general service. When I arived back and asked a few questions about how the car was and condition of things they basically just handed me the bill and said everthing was fine and that was it. No information and not very personal at all so I never went back but the service seemed fine with no probs.

Congratulations! Enjoy the new wheels!

And you also have some posts above that tell you that servicing might be better done selectively elsewhere - your choice.

    • I've got a 2011 J50 that I imported six years ago. The unmodified factory AV system date and time has always been correct ( Japanese timezone of course ) up until last month. About two weeks ago, at engine start, the system wished me a happy new year ( in Japanese of course ). I can't think of anything that would make the system think that the date had changed, unless the GPS component has failed/reset somehow ? I checked the GPS reception in the system settings, and it can still see the satellites. Has any other J50 owner had this happen ?  It's no biggie, just annoying that it tells me the wrong date anytime I start the engine. 😅
    • Love following your adventures on IG, hopefully if you're still around in Japan when we visit again wouldn't mind going for a few beers with you (that's if you're keen on hearing how I hate Nissans).
    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
