Rb20 Gearbox Question

Hey Guys,

while changing the bellhousing on my rb20 gearbox a springs fell out, from what i can gather it was not secured in. the spring is about 20mm long and 5-7mm wide, and very stiff.

i think it came from the rear of the gearbox (shifter end).

the shifter was out of the gearbox.but the plate was still there, i have checked the spring under the plate and it is there, this spring is same diameter but stiffer.

could someone please explain it on the pictures.

problem sorted.

Came out from the gearset, possibly reverse..
