Hi Guys

I'm looking at the m35 as an alternative to the XC70. Want a bigger family car that can also to a horse float with a warmblood (big horse). XC70 is rated to tow 1800kg - any offical figure for the M35?

Also, noted in the exhaust section the upgrades mentioned, but no mention of performance increase/ sound?

Can the I/C be easily swapped for a GTR one (have one sitting around off my GTR)? anyone done it?

In terms of performance, what is required and how do they respond to mods (nothing over the top - have the GTR for that)?

Cheers

Dan

No official figure for M35as I don't think they had an OE towbar kit.

As much as it pains me to say this (isn't much I would swap my M35 for), I think you may be better off going with a different car.

If you are towing above 1500kg for long periods of time, I would be concerned about the allow subframe.

If you need Nissan, try a Murano. Then get a 350z Twin turbo kit for it :)

Yes the M35 responds well to mods.

I do not know the dimensions of your GTR FMIC, but I dare say you could make it work. (What are the dimensions).

In the "Aftermarket M35 Exhausts" thread, you WILL find a dB rating. I made sure to include it.

I didn't include a performance increase rating as there are far too many variables and I just don't have the money to buy them all and test them out!

Performance wise, what is your aim?

agreed...if you want to tow big weights with an m35 get an engineer to check it out first. I think it will be difficult.

Brilliant car if towing isn't an issue. Or go for a c34, I tow 2 tonne with mine all the time, it has a steel subframe not ally.
