I was chased by a black WRX for 5mins tonight!

Recommended Posts

Ash - Good one man. I did the opposite thing a while ago in a Dato 1600 FJ20T etc etc that I used to own.

Had 2 lebo's (no offence to anyone) following me down Parra rd late one week night (was out looking at Skylines) and after a period of time stared getting very close then tailgating me. Before I knew it, they were trying to run me off the road. As I was by myself, there was no way I was going to attempt an outrun down a few back streets.

Anyways, after a few kays of this stuffing around we pulled up side by side at an intersection 1st up. I was in the left hand lane that ended and I thought that I would let him go thru 1st and get out of there as their intensions were obvious from the looks I was getting. There was no way they would do anything at present time as there was 2 other car behind us at the lights.

We took off and the guy swung the wheel, almost hit me so I snapped 2nd and blasted through the intersection sideways all over the place to get out of there.

Next thing I see flashing lights. There was a cop at the other side of the intersection. Now I am waiting on a court date to rid my already tarnished driving record of a 3 point "Burnout" offence.

It's not worth stuffing around with these jackasses.

gees a5h, i get real freaked when ppl tailgate me, not just because of fear of carjacking, my initial thought is "Your putting my car in a rear end collision situation you BASTARD!" You just want to stop and get out and kick their asses, but naturally you cant do that as usually your outnumbered.

If i tap brakes and slow down and they still dont fall back or overtake, then the blood boils......

bro ur funny. why call da cops for

how can they steal ur car anyway?.....they gonna race u till u run out of petrol..then mug u...put petrol in da car and take it lolz

if i was there i would have given them the finger and showed em rb power until i reached 60k

nahhh...

i would act like im racing, then ill let them off...like accelerate really quickly then brake....

or ill try something to dodge them by turning suddenly into a street or something

but i wouldnt give them the pleasure of letting them see me do a burnout

plus ive heard dat under cover cops witha wrx ask ppl to race...and when they do end up racing u see the flashes

so watch out for the number plate "cops" lol

btw im lebo and no not all lebos are da same

anyway

You absolute clown.

Im sure everyone on this forum worships you for beign to hard to to call the police but the fact of the matter is, calling the police is the smart thing to do. You cant guarantee that simply ignoring them will make the problem go away. And as for "giving them the finger and showing them the RB power" thats about the most stupid thing I have read for a long time.

Think about it logically for a moment. If you are driving and you find yourself being tailed or harassed by a bunch of guys wether its a WRX or otherwise, who would really be dumb enough to provoke them. You just dont know who you are dealing with, there has already been a car jacking recently where the theives weilded bats and an axe - damned if you'd want to mess with that.

Or lemme guess, I bet you'd take them all on right?

GT-R II, I think you have seen too many Steven Segal/Chuck Norris movies. There are people out there with guns who are using stolen sports bikes to jack people. How you gunna show someone your finger when your head's been blown off?

The guy who was jacked in Gladesville didn't get away uninjured. They tried to run him over (yes it was a stolen WRX) so he went up an over the bonnet. I know him and his brother. His car isn't even attention grabbing (stock-bodied grey R33 GT-R with white rims).

Lazy car-jacking c*(ts have no respect, so i hope that when they're caught the other inmates show them none.

lol.

police are there for crimes and drugs not some ***** **** scared of his jap crap being chased by a bunch of junkies

ffs its people like u that **** other ppl up when they are actually getting robbed

U WERE MINE shut the **** up b4 u get slapped up u ****ing dickhead dont u ever tease lebos. and if u are gonna do it. do it in my face

321 GO....wannabe nigga just shut the **** up i am talking from experience

u dont noe what the **** ive been through so shove a dick down ur throat and swallow.

i got uni now

bye

You're not worthy to know, especially since you resort to childish insults and tough-man name-calling.

Take a good, long look at yourself. Your dad should have shot you into the sheets...

haha this just keeps getting better, GTR version whaeva u already made a fool of yourself, and all you do is make yourself look like a bigger idiot...

and you don't even own a skyline, so i find it hard for you to say what you would do... you have no idea. and anyway, i probably wouldn't have called the cops right away, but its different when u have been chaced for 5 mins... (thats a long time) and also when ur gf is freaked, who knows they could have raped her... u never know...

so i think you should take your childish bull sh!t elsewhere...

by the way... swearing heaps doesn't prove anything except how immature you are...

and thanks to everyone else who agrees... :)

yeh okay man im the idiot whos childish

but when u begin to insult other peoples opinions it it inevitable that your a hypocrite. cos when u tell me the stuff u say, ur doing that thing ur telling me not to do by saying those things

figure it out

yeh i just didnt see the reason why to panic

    • And finally, the front lower mount. It was doubly weird. Firstly, the lower mount is held in with a bracket that has 3 bolts (it also acts as the steering lock stop), and then a nut on the shock lower mount itself. So, remove the 3x 14mm head bolts , then the 17mm nut that holds the shock in. From there, you can't actually remove the shock from the lower mount bolt (took me a while to work that out....) Sadly I don't have a pic of the other side, but the swaybar mounts to the same bolt that holds the shock in. You need to push that swaybar mount/bolt back so the shock can be pulled out past the lower control arm.  In this pic you can see the bolt partly pushed back, but it had to go further than that to release the shock. Once the shock is out, putting the new one in is "reverse of disassembly". Put the top of the shock through at least one hole and put a nut on loosely to hold it in place. Put the lower end in place and push the swaybar mount / shock bolt back in place, then loosely attach the other 2 top nuts. Bolt the bracket back in place with the 14mm head bolts and finally put the nut onto the lower bolt. Done....you have new suspension on your v37!
    • And now to the front.  No pics of the 3 nuts holding the front struts on, they are easy to spot. Undo 2 and leave the closest one on loosely. Underneath we have to deal with the wiring again, but this time its worse because the plug is behind the guard liner. You'll have to decide how much of the guard liner to remove, I undid the lower liner's top, inside and lower clips, but didn't pull it full off the guard. Same issue undoing the plug as at the rear, you need to firmly push the release clip from below while equally firmly gripping the plug body and pulling it out of  the socket. I used my fancy electrical disconnect pliers to get in there There is also one clip for the wiring, unlike at the rear I could not get behind it so just had to lever it up and out.....not in great condition to re-use in future.
    • Onto the rear lower shock mount. It's worth starting with a decent degrease to remove 10+ years of road grime, and perhaps also spray a penetrating oil on the shock lower nut. Don't forget to include the shock wiring and plug in the clean.... Deal with the wiring first; you need to release 2 clips where the wiring goes into the bracket (use long nose pliers behind the bracket to compress the clip so you can reuse it), and the rubber mount slides out, then release the plug.  I found it very hard to unplug, from underneath you can compress the tab with a screwdriver or similar, and gently but firmly pull the plug out of the socket (regular pliers may help but don't put too much pressure on the plastic. The lower mount is straightforward, 17mm nut and you can pull the shock out. As I wasn't putting a standard shock back in, I gave the car side wiring socket a generous gob of dialectric grease to keep crap out in the future. Putting the new shock in is straightforward, feed it into at least 1 of the bolt holes at the top and reach around to put a nut on it to hold it up. Then put on the other 2 top nuts loosely and put the shock onto the lower mounting bolt (you may need to lift the hub a little if the new shock is shorter). Tighten the lower nut and 3 upper nuts and you are done. In my case the BC Racing shocks came assembled for the fronts, but the rears needed to re-use the factory strut tops. For that you need spring compressors to take the pressure off the top nut (they are compressed enough when the spring can move between the top and bottom spring seats. Then a 17mm ring spanner to undo the nut while using an 8mm open spanner to stop the shaft turning (or, if you are really lucky you might get it off with a rattle gun).
    • You will now be able to lift the parcel shelf trim enough to get to the shock cover bolts; if you need to full remove the parcel shelf trim for some reason you also remove the escutcheons around the rear seat release and you will have to unplug the high stop light wiring from the boot. Next up is removal of the bracket; 6 nuts and a bolt Good news, you've finally got to the strut top! Remove the dust cover and the 3 shock mount nuts (perhaps leave 1 on lightly for now....) Same on the other side, but easier now you've done it all before
    • OK, so a bunch of trim needs to come off to get to the rear shock top mounts. Once the seat is out of the way, the plastic trim needs to come off. Remove 2 clips at the top then slide the trim towards the centre of the car to clear the lower clip Next you need to be able to lift the parcel shelf, which means you need to remove the mid dark trim around the door, and then the upper light trim above the parcel shelf. The mid trim has a clip in the middle to remove first, then lift the lowest trim off the top of the mid trim (unclips). At the top there is a hidden clip on the inner side to release first by pulling inwards, then the main clip releases by pulling the top towards the front of the car. The door seal comes off with the trim, just put them aside. The the lighter upper trim, this is easy to break to top clips so take it carefully. There is a hidden clip towards the bottom and another in the middle to release first by pulling inwards. Once they are out, there are 3 clips along the rear windscreen side of the panel that are hard to get under. This is what the rear of the panel looks like to assist:
