I'm not free, sorry

Mate not sure your reason for making a pointless reply but i shall remind you that you have requested hep and advice alot from people in the forced induction thread, comestic & styling and possibly more. Those people have been helpful to you. Thats what these forums are here for. You should treat others how you expect to be treated. :P

Yeah you'd need a press to put the bushes in. If i bother Ill probably drop the frame. wrestle out the bushes then get Bard to press in the new ones into the subframe, bring it home, reinstall it.

Won't bother for a while though. Might chat to you on tuesday about it Brad.

big hammer works well as a press :P, then again i drive a 31......

lol ummm please dont.

Greg, a couple of guys have pulled the subframe out and we have just done the bushes because yes you need a press to remove and refit the bushes correctly.

Will talk about it on Tuesday anyway.

hmm ive been tossing up doing this, do you need to do it once you lock the frame with the rings or is it not really worth doing once that is done?

Depends on what your trying to acheive. If the bushes are worn/leaking etc, a lot of guys put in the lock rings as a bandaid fix to stop the subframe moving around on worn bushes.

If you change the bushes and have track days etc in mind, then the lock rings will still be benifical as having the rear movement 'locked up' will give the driver better feeling to what the rear of the car is doing.

a bit off topic, im getting subframe bushes and pretty much all front and rear control arms bushes (adjustable ) put in, think you can sort me out for setting them up ? do you work on Saturday ? ill swing by and have a chat :(

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
