Yes if it has been registored before then there will have to be a complience unless they managed to get it under the 15 year rule that has since been changed... if that is the case then the car has been sitting a while and i would be more worried about dried up rubbers and stuff... just my 2 cents

i think the compliance plate is a pink plate on the inside of the passenger door?

my plate is in engine bay on firewall

I woul say if it does not have the pink compliance plate anywhere forget about buying it. Wait a bit and keep looking for a good one

I agree with Rhys, unless its stupidly cheap id buy one already registered (could end up being more hassle then its worth, time off work etc)

And plenty of imports came in under the 15 year old scheme

but they should still have 6U9000 then HCR32XXXXXXX or BNR32XXXXXXX

usually either on a plate attached to the firewall or engraved directly onto the firewall

ones that came in under SEVS either has a Pink or Green compliance plate

as a car imported under the now abolished 15 year rule the car will not have a compliance

however you must have a copy of the import approval to register the vehicle

contact Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government and try and get a copy of the import approval for the vehicle

if it doesnt have one or you cant get one thats pretty much the end of the road

Previous rego may not be enough , you may still need this document.

    • thanks for the advice on the box... i was thinking the 6 speed was better for cruising on the highway but on closer inspection and comparison the Rb 5 speed box was not too different...  So the choice is going to be the RB25 box... if I can save up and find one at the right price
    • Thanks Matt, yes that's what i am aiming for. Just going to apply the right voltage and grounds to the dash connector. Hence my search for these pins... any chance you know if these pins are in the same spot as the ones on the S15 Dash connector? as mentioned above on page 8?
    • Yes, unfortunately that's the one. Signal was noisy to begin with; after driving once and looking back at the logs I saw pressure constantly swinging between 0-200psi, or staying at 0 randomly for a few seconds. There's a lot of good sensors that share the same look and feel, so don't presume they're all bad. I bought mine for 20$ off Amazon and I should have read the reviews prior, as it's clear they're junk.  I purchased a lowdollerr motorsports sensor.
