Ok,

Today in Sydney it is cold and raining . . I get off the bus and go to my car as usual, a young asian girl is stressed crying asking for my help,

Help us please we need to get home but we have flat battery car wont start. . . .

Ok so I position Stag nose to nose, get out jumper leads and connect up. . . . tell them to start. . . they said it wont start. . . so decided to jump in and start it my self. . . . .

Could not farking believe what I saw. . . reason it didn't start. . . bloody thing was in Drive (auto car) . . . losers. . flicked in to park and it started....LOL. . I got soaking wet for stupidity. . .

Spent the drive home pissing myself laughing. . .

lol dude ... should of played your cards right.

leave it in drive, offer her a lift... AYE ! ...

Yeah and ask her to wait whilst I hide the child booster seat and toys. . . LOL. . . . .

Wasn't the "Wet" kinda girl I was hoping for. . .

My uncle used to be an NRMA guy, called to a job with a frantic woman who'd locked keys in her car. Arrived to see the woman very agitated, and wanting to know how long it would take.

Reached in through the OPEN DRIVER'S WINDOW, pulled the keys out of the ignition, placed the keys in the woman's hand. "Shouldn't be too long" he replied, before returning to the van. (So long ago the van was an HQ panelvan)

I think I'd have been laughing so hard I'd have to call someone else to do it.

lol i got called out of work because my wife said the key wouldnt turn in the ignition and she was running late for work. i get home and turned the steering wheel a little and started the car. yes you guess'd it steering lock was on.

Car in "drive" :) ... yep I've encountered that a few times too from people who have no clue!

The better one was a neighbour who couldn't get his car off a trailer. Him and his mate are pushing and pushing to get it off. I couldn't stand it anymore, walked over and started winding back the hitch and cable on the trailer. Yep, it was still hoooked up. :)

    • Maybe also really stiffly sprung track cars. Get the inside wheel up in a corner and all the fun stops. Also me sometimes (rarely) when I have to stand on the brake to convince the diff to drive the wheel that is still on the ground when I'm trying to diagonally get over severe driveway entrance, etc.
    • I feel like I'm missing something. You had an authorised installer come out and install a new alarm. Post install the car doesn't start, and you aren't getting the installer back to fix what they did wrong?
    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
