I went there and had a look yesterday - they don't seem to have much stock at the moment.

The guy told us they are getting a new container load of parts in the next few weeks though. Most of the stuff on their website is not in Australia yet.

I've been in and had a look. Fairly small premises in the CBD. Run by two Japanese guys. They seemed nice enough. But...

They had a SI 1993 R33 for sale a few months ago. Their web-site states their imports are all auction grade 3.5 or higher, but when I went and spoke to them, they said they didn't know what an auction grade was and they weren't able to provide any auction documents. Seemed strange at the time.

well when i went there ... lets just say that i wasn't that impressed ... one guy didn't exactly know how to speak english ... can't blame him i guess ... the other guy spoke good english and was a little helpful but they didn't have anything there that half interested me ... i've seen lots of auctions on ebay from them and i haven't seen any bad ratings so can't be all bad ... the guys seemed nice enough though ... but they need a bit of work on their business imho .. and funny thing is hikari is like 5 min walk down the road ... and they have heaps more stuff there ... just walk to the back :(

yes nothing wrong but to mention that you have something in stock and waiting for the highest bidder then trying to purchase it from another auction or even maybe supplying a different one is dodgy. Especially when people out there are bidding for what they see on the pics.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
