# Polyphony Digital is working on reducing load times and is still tweaking graphics ahead of the November release date.

# The game has nearly filled all of the space available on Blu-Ray disc.

# You’ll have the option to synchronize the game’s time of day with the track’s current local time.

# The crowds will be dynamic, so there will be more tents, cars, and motorhomes at longer races.

# Yamauchi admits his team may have “actually gone too far in modeling some of this detail” and suggested it might be “more suited to the next generation of PlayStation.”

# Both high and low-beam headlights will be included, so you can flash slower cars as you’re about to pass them (how awesome will this be during the 24 hour races!?!). All lights will illuminate dirt, smoke, or other debris in the air.

# NASCAR insisted that all of their series’ cars be playable on all circuits in the game.

# It was previously mentioned that only 9 NASCAR cars will be included, but this was incorrect. There are simply 9 cars in the E3 2010 demo, but “many more” are coming.

# With the exception of profanity, all of the Nurburgring’s graffiti has been re-created, just as it is in real life. According to Kotaku, they will attempt to keep the graffiti up-to-date before the game is shipped.

# Players will be able to maintain an online profile to share and watch friend’s progress and statistics.

# All cars (including standard models) will accumulate dirt and will have functional horns.

# All cars will have functioning reverse lights.

# More information will be revealed at Gamescom in Germany on August 18-22.

# More Formula 1 teams will bring their cars to the game, in addition to Ferrari.

pretty cool stuff, especially being able to synch the actual time of day with that of the race

For the amount of time they've had to work on the game, it's an expectation to have all of these small details in it. Then again, it's the smaller details that separate a good game from a great game.

At least we know Polyphony have pushed the PS3 to its limits... It's going to be EPIC.

And for Mr Eps, I remember making no such bet... :D

Translation: Frame rates can get pretty horrible.

This ought to bring back some great memories...

Whether you had the full game or just played it on Demo1.

that reminds me of the old NFS games. about 6 months ago i loaded nfs highstakes up here at work and was playing it and it's music sounds a lot like that too. brought back memories of the good old days

I believe you are referring to Paradigm Shifter...

By far, the best NFS game EVER!!! Followed closely by the Underground series.

PM me if anyone wants any of these songs. I have them both in MP3 format off their soundtracks.

Do you have the soundtrack for NFS Porsche Challenge/Porsche Unleashed? I have been looking for it for ages.

that's the one

Forza 3 - released October 23 2009

GT5 - Not yet released

GT5 will end up being compared to Forza 4 anyway.

+ ps3 is blu-ray, x-box isn't, so you have to expect some graphics differences. however i don't think you can put that much down to the release date. a lot of the waiting time was them getting it sorted for 3D and playstation move. however yes they have been developing the game for longer even before that. but then if they hadn't been spending time on getting GT5P out and all that crap it may have been out already.

You mean the 'demo that you pay for'. BD allows more models and textures and higher res textures so more cars and supposedly more stuff around the track however it doesn't make the PS3 GPU any faster.

Sorry Taz, I don't have that one.

BUT

You might find it in the new thread I just made,

SOUNDTRACK - Video Games

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
