Anyone with a real version of the car wanting to know how much of a gain they will get from mods shouldn't use any of the gt games, or any game for that matter, as a guide to how much power they will gain. the power gains from mods in the game are not accurate. they may have used the stock specs but the aftermarket specs are not realistic.

This

I''ve converted a SiR Civic as close as possible to my rally car spec for sh!ts and giggles, but I can assure the driving experience is nothing like the real thing. . Don't believe that the physics are in any way representative of any mods you mght do in real life.

Is it possible to plug an external (USB) Hard drive into a PS3, or do you have to replace the standard HDD? I have a spare brand new 1TB external HDD. will I be able to use this with a PS3? (I haven't bought a PS3 yet, otherwise I'd have a look for myself, in case you were wondering)

No:

Oh and with the millions of S2Ks, MX5s and Skylines - its there cause the differences are so minimal and it requires only a little extra effort to put them in, so they did...

Yep I think you are right about the little effort, the list looks like it carried over from GT4 and they have just added a dashboard and a steering wheel.

Like I said before I am rather dissapointed at the depth of cars....Where are the older cars????

They are using the VY commodores but not the VE, same with the falcon, why do they still have the AU supercar, sure it might be hard to get their hands on a new one to model but how long have we been waiting for this game? By the looks of the tracks and cars list they couldve released this game years ago.

sup haters.

they do this everytime. the "official car list" comes out and it doesn't reflect the actual car list at all.. they do it everytime.

they said in both gt3 and gt4 there would be the nissan cefiro.. neither had it ever.

so - i have an idea. play the game and see. this list is bogus

gt6 will be where its at i reckon (haha i know thats a bit hard to digest atm). assuming they'll continue using the new game/graphics/physics engine or whatever its called.. they can just focus on adding more content/features..

anyone else know if the DLC is free or do you have to pay for it like in forza??

u guys are idiots lol

gt6 wont take long to make.. if you dont understand why then read the thread :)

in the meaantime to you car list haters.. google gt4 car list and gt3 car list

youll see that the car list is compiled of rubbish. and has nothing to do with the game itself

Well after all that delaying, we would at least expect the cars we wanted if not the graphics n stuff.. And why the so many Civic's and MX5's... Not like they didn't have time to put in new cars..

how many people do you actually think wanted the r34 gt-t or r33 gts-t? i'm guessing, not many. yes it would've been nice to have them, but i'd rather have things like lambos and ferraris' than a boring old skyline in the game.

and as for GT6, i agree with eps, it won't take that long to come out. with GT5 they scrapped the physic engine used in GT5 prologue and started over. in gt6 they will just build on GT5 and add in stuff from there. i'd say maybe 2 years. it would all depend on whether a new console is in the pipeline and how far away that is.

Yes you can plug in a usb hard drive but there is 1 very big catch. it must be in fat32 format, and pretty much no hard drive or thumb drive bigger than 4gb is in fat32, they are all ntfs.

You can re-format your NTFC HD to FAT32, I did it to back up my old 80gig HD from my PS3 to a 500gig...

I re-formated a NTFC HD to FAT32 using this....

Lambos and Ferraris are boring to drive after a few lap - you need variety. If you want lambos and ferraris you can buy any other racer. You want to drive a variety of vehicles then there is Gran Turismo and Forza.

well which would you prefer, another variety of skyline, or a completely different manufacturer such as a ferrari or lambo? i'd say that the latter offers up a larger amount of veriety than having another skyline in the game.

that said, they could've scrapped a few mx5's, rx7's or even some models of the skyline gtr (not the r35), or even just made 1 version of the r32 gts-t to put in the r33 gts-t and/or r34 gt-t.

Which is exactly my point, no doubt that people want to drive Ferrari's and Lamborghini's, but those cars are definite to be there in the game... But considering as you also said.. Why so many repeat's of the same cars but just different years like the MX5's and Civic's... Thats a variety of cars which is absolutely boring for the kind of people who play the game..

Because its easy to add on a sticker, add a little lip or something and its considered another car to make up the car numbers. The boss probably told the designers to get atleast 1000 cars no matter what - add a new badge on the back, different year of the same shape, new wheels, new kit do whatever it takes!

oh my god you guys shut up. wait to play the game. the car list is not true I guarantee it. it's always fake how many times have I repeated this. there is no way they'd make six versions of the same civic. you guys must be gullible.

    • Pressure when IDLING, is meant to be 51PSi... So that amperage value needs to go up a fair chunk... I'd personally be factoring for more like 12amp at least on those runs, and at that point you need to hope the already there wiring doesn't drop you a volt or two, as that's a lot of fuel pressure flow drop off from 13.5 to 12V! Taking idle pressure of 51psi, means the pump will be drawing a MINIMUM of 9amps all the time based on your reading of the graph (3bar base, then allowing an extra 0.5bar for boost = roughly 51psi)
    • Hi all,  I am in the market for an R200 longnose diff out of a Z31 300ZX, or S12 RSX, DR30 skyline, or similar, in a 3.9 ratio.  Preferably a late model one with the M12 crownwheel bolts.  The only easy to find advert for one of these was my ad back in 2007 when I sold it on this forum.  I sold the diff as I had sold the car it goes to, but as it turns out, after 18 years I got the car back late last year, so now I'm looking for the diff !  If anyone knows where to find a longnose R200 LSD with the M12 crownwheel bolts, drop me a line at [email protected] - Bonus paid if soomeone comes up with the original diff (stranger things have happened !).  Cheers   Ben D
    • Hi everyone, I used to post here a bit from 2004-2013, when I owned various Nissans, in particular my S12 RSX gazelle, which was sold in 2007.  As luck would have it, after an 18 year hiatus, the car found its way back to me last year, and over the past 11 months I have had the pleasure of restoring it with my kids.  One thing that I am after in particular is a 3.9 ratio R200 LSD for it.  I actually sold the one out of the car here back in 2007 , and it would be incredible if I could track down who I sold it to, so I can see how they have progressed over the years (and to be honest, to see whether I can get the diff back !).  Anyways, hi all and let me know "where are the R200 Longnose diffs all at these days ?  Cheers Ben D
    • Arms will be the same as the G35 or 350Z, but as above, there was a change in the lower control arm where it connects to the ball joint.  That said, you can remove the ball joint cone from your old ball joints and fit them to the new ball joints.  To be honest, I didn't think the ball joints themselves were different. The main ball joint is a bit awkward to replace, you really need to remove the steering knuckle to press out the old one.  Some people have used tools to remove it in place, but it just seemed too hard to get to. If you are going to press out/in that ball joint, then you may as well just replace the bushings in the LCA and the compression rod.  You can buy the compression rod bushing from Nissan, but the LCA bushes, you will need to go aftermarket. Much cheaper than buying the whole arm.
    • Ha, well, it's been.... a bit of a journey. Things have taken much longer than I'd hoped. I'll probably put up a thread at some stage. Hopefully soon. The car's not done any kms since my update in June though, put it that way.
