Depends where you get them from.. about 4.5g to 5g AUD for brand new 2 x gt-rs. I would assume similar price for hks twin 2530/2540. :) Works out almost the same price if you order two garrett gt25 thats rated to 400hp with similar a/r housings... :)

That's right, for 300kw at the wheels you will need the following.

Bigger turbos say 2540's, power fc, cam gears, injectors, rail, pump, regulator, exhaust, bigger cooler & probably suggest some coils and a bloody good tuner. You can pretty well get to 270kw at the wheels with out doing the fuel system but again you need a good tuner. Bottom line is you need money.:uh-huh:

Ive got an R32 GTR with 2530's and power fc (and avc-r) and my god it flys, as you probably should be able to tell by my smashed gearbox and clutch  (quarter mile attempt #1 gone wrong)

The car made 309kw on a dynopak dyno, so this is around the 280-290kw mark at all wheels. It was a pretty good tune I guess now (in hindsight), car never detonated, but I was frequently getting warnings from the Power FC that the injector duty cycle was 90%+ when I was full throttle coming upto 7000rpm. My advice would be;

Power FC, HKS 2530/GT-RS, HKS adjustable cam gears, new fuel pump, new injectors and if youre budget can stretch it, a HKS step 1 (256 degree) exhaust camshaft... the exhaust camshaft makes quite a large power difference, and on a similar setup to my car previously, would make 50kw more at the wheels than the best I could do.

Hmmmmm. 300 rwkw cheaply...

I would go for a pair of N1 turbos (or standard turbos with N1 internals) around $2200. Bolt straight up, saves heaps on pipework and fittings.

Pair of split dump pipes say $700.

3" engine pipes and 3.5" exhaust $900.

Bosch 044 motorsport fuel pump $400.

Adjustable Sard fuel pressure regulator $350

Standard injectors OK, with 10% overdrive using higher fuel pressure.

Used set of HKS 264 cams say $800

Standard intercooler OK

That totals around $5500 plus fitting (if you can't do it yourself) and tuning. Sounds about right.

It would have good average power as well, not just a peeky 300 rwkw at one single rpm point.

Hope that helps

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
