f*kk man, real sorry to hear about that,, even worse to hear that that can happen wen i live so close to you..hope the insurance all works out.

and get the cops on it

When you see random dodgy cars in your quiet street, best thing to do is to stare at the driver for as long as you can (and make sure they know you are staring at them) or even pretend to write down their rego. It kinda acts as a deterrent to potential thieves looking for effortless pickings because they know if something gets stolen in the near future from the street, guess which car rego and driver description will come up first?

hmmm yeah. well there few good people i know here on sau who im mates with who have been to my house and they know what it looks like and they can see i keep everything secure even my cars (nto saying its anyone from here as im pretty sure i know close to who these people were) and its not your everyday street youd exactly walk in take something and leave it be very easy to see something happen but this was/must definatly targetted i know that.. i may be close to finding out certain people who it might be but ofcourse am not saying anything for certain purposes but the right thing will be done if the right people are found..

why are you playing detective and crime stopper?

i mean sure it sucks stuff got stolen but theres little you can do yourself

the police are there to police the situation before it happens, and detectives there to identify and detect the crime

i just dont get the whole slueth work - as long as you have insurance, claim and away you go

I think the problem is the cops don't give a shit, and if it were me, even if I got all the money back from insurance, I would still be pissed that I had to waste so much time and angst, and that my plans had gone to crap. I'd still want to know who the bastard who took the stuff was, so he could be brought to justice, or to prevent it happening again.

    • Before I get to the test day, just to finish off the android head unit. This is a demo from car start up....the standard/host system takes a few seconds to boot (same as all v37) but Android comes up quickly. In this vid I'm using the delivered launcher but have set the default to Agami since which is easier to navigate when if use primarily 5 apps. You can see the host system still takes over when required eg putting it in reverse, and you can switch between Android and not by holding the back button 3 sec. It is pretty responsive (fast) but you can see I had to press harder than expected a couple of times.  I still have the phone connected to the stock system, and that also seamlessly takes over Android music playing. v37-android-demo.mp4 The bigger reason that I put this in though is so that I can use Ecutek directly on the head unit. That gives me a dash with logging (up to 20MB only), high and low value warnings on any parameter etc etc. I've run a USB cable from the Ecutek OBD dongle to a USB input on the unit, easy. v37-ecutek-demo.mp4   The unit did freeze on the launcher the other day, I think Agami was trying to verify the license when it didn't have a data connection...will monitor and report back if there are any other problems but so far I'm very happy with the upgrade.
    • Nah that is just crappy GPS mapping, I did have a small excursion (cold tyres, damp track, surprise!), will post up that when I get a chance.
    • So 10/10 times that code is coil packs? I mean if that's the case ill drop the $400USD or so to replace them. I didn't know these cars threw codes before the issue became an issue.
