its a Tommy front but thats it (type M sides an stealth/drift wing)....cars stock bar front mount, bit of boost, an exhaust (power wise anyway), goes well!, an it wasnt hit in a carpark, thats one of 3 i know of stories going round. story he told me was kinda his fault, but not gonna put the story up here for certain reasons.

Not in a carpark, it was parked on a side street. That's the story I heard directly from him, anyhoo. Saw him tonight and he said it's running stock boost, 7psi. Is this possible with full exhaust and pod?

LOL, I've seen this dude already about 3 times last week around the waterfront and coming out of the eastern beach carpark!

Seriously, every time I go into town, day or night, he is always there cruising around or up at Shagga's (not that I have a problem with that).

Any Geelong people up for a Great Ocean Road cruise to Apollo Bay in about a month or two's time?

yeah i heard that story directly from him too, until i saw the car an asked what the "real" story was cause unless a telephone pole jumped off the sidewalk an smashed into the back of his car at about 50-60km/h on its own.....no car made that dent....so then he "directly" told me the supposed real story....so who knows, but by the looks of the back of the car.....wasnt no "I came back an it was like that" hit in sidestreet.

an yeah, for sure, always up for a cruise :D could cruise down the bay on a saturday, stay the night there....get on the piss....an come back the back way to Geelong on Sunday (through forrest, cape otway way).?

Hi Guys,

I own the two-tone R33 MSPEC, Blue/Silver with 20" Chomeies

Completly stock ATM, but in about 4 week i will have RB30/25 transplant.

I genrally give a wave to other R33 drivers anyways, seem to be in rare amounts around the geelong region.

:P trev

hey Trev,

yeah ive seen ya round, 20" chromeies look pretty mad! You keen to come cruisin on Sat? should be a good day.

Always a good way to meet all the skyline owners round here.....I've seen almost all of you round....met very few.....something like a cruise is a great way to fix that!!

hopefully see all of you Sat morning bright an early!! all the details are in one of my posts above

:P

I guess that doesn't really surprise me, the way I've seen him ripping it up lately...

Yeah, I'm keen for a GOR run in a few weeks before it's too hot for my standard cooler. I need to wait until I get my replacement diff installed, I've been on a few GOR runs in the last 3 weeks which has made my LSD fubar!!

Depending on how many people and who comes, we should be able to stay at my grandparents holiday house in Aireys Inlet. Have a few drinks and it should be a good night!!

I'm planning on going down soon as one of my friends with a R33 is moving to Canada for a few years and we want to go for one last burn.

So if anyone in Geelong wants a silver R33 (shameless plug!), PM me.

It has the following mods:

Full kit (Type M kit I think)

Buddy Club P1 17" wheels

Tein adjustable coilovers

Aftermarket diff (unsure of exactly what it is)

Full Kakimoto exhaust

M's K&N pod

Sparco fixed bucket seat

Momo race steering wheel (Jap version, a bit smaller than the one available over here)

Very good condition...

PM me for more info!

Kinda off topic, but im pretty sure most of you would of heard by now anyways:

3 Cars last night where involved in a collision last night at "Top Carpark" AKA "Shaggaz"

Apparently 1 White 180SX (LTZ**N) was doing a burnout/donuts when he lost control of his car (At a very fast speed) and collected a parked silver lancer, and a white VP commodore. (VP**T1)

this all resulted in the driver of the 180SX having to be cut out of his written off car. Noone was "Seriously injured".

Something to think about, its amazing how quickly & easily things can go REALLY BAD.

A simple burntout wiped 3 cars, driver will never be insured again, more than likely wont walk the same again... (If he wasnt insured he will be in a "world of shit" in the next few years of his life)

PS: i didnt see this all happen, I got the info off a bystanding Fire officer. and I just saw the aftermath off the 3 cars involved.

Guys just a quick sidenote, the weather is going to get warmer in the coming months, topcarpark & easterns are going to be VERY busy at all hours of the night. If your gona cruise or do burnouts, be carefull, look around, and watch other peoples cars.

(I wouldnt be to worried about actually stacking into someone, but i allmost put a Fu(khead into st.johns who was doing donuts around 4 months ago in a VN SS, and sprayed my car with rocks/rubber after my car was just resprayed, so have some consideration for other peoples rides)

 trev

Fv(k! how fast was this co(k going to have to be cut out of the car!

I'm surprised that the owners of the other damaged cars didn't "assist" him out of the car and into a coma.....

Its noobs like this that give us all a bad name. :zap:

how many GTR's are there in geelong i have seen about two a blue 32 and a grey 32. i get mine in DEC or early JAN got all my bits sitting at home now, power fc, nismo AFM, HKS 2530 turbos and HKS dump pipes and exhaust manifolds, nismo injectors & fuel pump, blitz boost controller, and heaps more, geelong tune up will be tuning the car should have bout 300+ rwk on 1.5 bar, keep an eye out for in the plates are SLK-GTR

SLK-GTR: I have only seen 1 GTR in Geelong, and its a Purple R33. I think he lives in Grovedale. All factory. They are pretty rare around geelong. :D

Interloper: Yeh, apparently he was moving along at a fair pace. But i do burnouts and stuff in my car, but i also know the limits of my car. Not to mention 3 advanced/defensive driving courses, CAMS & 13 track events. :D

Fark, that's no good!! I hope he learnt his lesson! Too many tools that can't drive doing burnouts up there these days. The surface is that farked up there I wouldn't even consider doing doughies or a big burnout.

For that reason I don't like parking my car there on a Friday/Saturday night. The worst time to go up there is when it's raining, all the hero's in their Commonwhores come out and "try" and do burnouts, nearly collecting parked cars in the process.

Yep, he does live in Grovedale. There is another guy in Grovedale who got a R33 GTR a few months back. I forget what colour it is, maybe white? He recently had to get the front end repaired as someone hit him in the Waurn Ponds carpark. He told me a new aftermarket cooler was cheaper than a genuine brand new GTR cooler from Nissan!!

Don't see it around much as the dude has an old beaten up maroon XD V8 Falcon as his daily driver.

there was a dude who had a grey 32 GTR parked outside his house on the esplanade (sp?) opposite that park where that japanese koaki restaurant place is. I saw it there for about 3 weeks but i havn't seen it since - it looked like a fresh import as it didn't have plates on it yet not to mention jap auction writing on the windscreen. :D

Yeah, that's just around the corner from my house. Haven't seen it lately though. It didn't look like it was in the best condition though, looked pretty stock too.

apparently with the accident up top carpark, it hit the VP, which hit a silver lancer, which hit a VH como wagon. Also heard there was a guy stepping out of the grey lancer as the VP was slammed into it an broke his leg in 2 places? and that the 180 wasnt even registered let-a-lone insured.....

poor guys (parked innocently).... I've seen some people do some pretty stupid things up there trying to show off......cops are really gonna crack down now....

an as far as GTR's go, the silver 32 GTR is owned by one of the guys at "geelong tune up specialists" from memory, and the purple 33 GTR is owned by Raaj, but i think he's selling it due to a .3 coming along soon. There the only GTR's i've seen more than once round here....

Hey everyone, was waiting to finally see a thread about us in geelong. I know a couple of you guys on here (absent from X1k) and have seen most of u round. My car was a stockish white r33 gtst until the girl i was partying with one night decided that it would be a good idea to try and smash into something with it... not a happy girl. So while i was innocently sitting at the party my car was smashing into a jeep wrangler. So i had no idea where she went, called the cops to try and find her. My parents call me and tell me my car had bin involved in a hit and run... Anyway the car was amazing not too bad afterwards, i drove it home from the police station after that caught the second person to steal it driving it around. So for the next month or two i drove round with a taped together 33 which is great if you wanna get stared at by everyone. Insurance was gonna be 2k and stuff up my ratings for life so i just started saving. After my friend reversed it off the road at about 120ks and crumpled the rear bar and front again it was time to get things fixed. So i order a kit off a guy on the forum and chucked it on, (trust front bar, 400R sideskirts, trial rear bar) and had that on in its fabulous shade of grey. A month or so ago i managed to get the thing finally painted. Spending ages trying to find a colour that suits it i chose 350Z blue.

Before (damaged) - http://www.satelliteinternet.org/skyline/DVC00050.JPG side

- http://www.satelliteinternet.org/skyline/DVC00052.JPG front

After - (shiny) - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost...500/ppuser/3607

I should be able to come, hope to see you all soon.

James

    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
    • Onto the android unit. You need to remove the top screen because there is a daughterboard to put inside the case. Each side vent pops out from clips; start at the bottom and carefully remove upwards (use a trim remover tool to avoid breaking anything). Then the lower screen and controls come out, 4 screws, a couple of clips (including 3 flimsy ones at the top) and 3 plugs on the rear. Then the upper screen, 4 screws and a bunch of plugs and she is out. From there, remove the mounting brackets (2 screws each), 4 screws on the rear, 2 screws top and bottom and 3 screws holding in the small plates on each side. When you remove the back cover (tight fit), watch out for the power cable for the fan, I removed it so I could put the back aside. The mainboard is held in by 1 screw in the middle, 1 aerial at the top and 3 ribbon cables. If you've ever done any laptop stuff the ribbon cables are OK to work with, just pop up the retainer and they slide out. If you are not familiar just grab a 12 year old from an iphone factory, they will know how it works The case should now look like this:
    • Switching the console was tricky. First there were 6 screws to remove, and also the little adapter loom and its screws had to come out. Also don't forget to remove the 2 screws holding the central locking receiver. Then there are 4 clips on either side....these were very tight in this case and needed careful persuading with a long flat screw driver....some force required but not enough to break them...this was probably the fiddliest part of the whole job. In my case I needed both the wiring loom and the central locking receiver module to swap across to the new one. That was it for the console, so "assembly is the reverse of disassembly"
