For now i've got a little bit of extra cash and seeing as my car has no zhaust I was planning on getting one...

Just after some opinions on what I should get and atm i'm only after some sound

I was told by my cousin if I was after noise I should go with a 2 1/4 Catback with a 5" Cannon and remove my mufflers.

What do you reckon?

*edit* Budget - Roughly $500

a straight pipe from behind the cat with a 5" tip muffler ...... yeah that's pretty loud! The police will hunt you for that.

and won't have much trouble finding you as they will be able to hear you from 3 suburbs away, LOL

the car is a NA. it will need mufflers to be quiet. a turbo on the other hand will be much more quiet with the same system

Don't do it, the only thing less classy than an underpowered car making a ridiculously loud noise, is an underpowered car making a ridiculously loud noise with a cheap overstated body kit.

BTW you could probably get the desired effect by taking a 1/8" drill to your existing muffler.

im running stock headers, then 2.5" piping with a leaking resonator to twin 2" tips. Its not THAT loud....but the noise is definately an aquired taste...

if you want something louder i reckon just replace the rear muffler with a cannon, dont waste money on the rest of the exhaust...

I reckon just run a pipe off the cat to side-dump under the driver's door. f**k the cannon, that shit muffles things occasionally.

Wind the window down and you'll be sick as.

Cant you READ?, he already said his car does NOT have an exhaust...i would've thought that would be loud enough

I can read actually. Can't you? The OP specifically says he wants an exhaust.

So his 2 aims are:

1. loud

2. have an exhaust

Hence why I suggested one to him that doesn't make the car too much quieter than his current un-loud setup. Telling him to leave the car without an exhaust doesn't meet his "I want an exhaust" requirement.

I'd also suggest removing the cat, which will provide even more noise, and hopefully sick flames to boot. The extra bang from flames popping out the exhaust will not only give him "some" sound, but also an "extra" sound to boot. Its a 2-for-1 deal that's only a broom handle away!

No idea why people get smart when I post things.

It helps counter-act the dumb.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
