Hi all, just seekin info on moddin my V35.

I am torn between buying the rims 1st or go for a "not-too-wild" bodykit.

The main reason I am asking this is that if I put on the kit, will the underside of the car get scrubbed more as I only have 17 inch rims?

Any info would be great as I am new to mod scene.

Thz.

I'd go for rims first and possibly lower it.

I think its better to get the size of rims that u want on the car, then decide which bodykit will fit them best. you dont wanna have to modify the kit once its already on the car. but yeh, us my opinion.

what size rims u goin for?

Thz for the info Benzino33.

I want to go 19x8.5 at front and 19x9.5 or 10 at rear but not sure of the offsets yet. any opinions with that size? :(

do some reading when it comes to size and offsets, check out photos to see how they sit in the guards

keep in mind if u want to put a wide body kit on after choosing you wheels - you will have fail fitment

and no one likes fail fitment

just remember that legally skylines must have same rim size (diameter & width) front and rear as they came out with same size all round from factory

I thought you had some legal 'waggle room' around the stock total diameter and width?

I'm not sure what it is mind.

I would get some rims first with nice dish on the back  Maybe go 19" thin spoked rims then lower it instead of a bodykit.

that's a good point Dani Boi. but do you think i will need a permit for changing the suspension and ride height?

yeah, i've heard that too. but i got my V from fabcar and it already come with different offsets front and rear. that's why.

Don't need a permit, but legally your car is supposed to be at least 100mm from the ground with a full tank of fuel and 5 people in the car.

ok. thz for the info SKYRYAN. so maybe i can lower my car. i can't go all low cuz i got a steep driveway.

any suspension place you might recommend and about how much shall i save up for it?

Bodykits look stupid without the right offset rims especially with stock rims.

Go rims and lower it a bit. Talk to WA suspensions, they are a forum sponsor here.

thz Pattygtst. will contact WA suspensions.
