Item: Simmons FR18 18" x 8" front and 9" rear suit AU onwards

Price: Asking $2,000.00 ono - negotiable if it means a quicker sale.

Type: Part

Condition: Used

Description: I have for sale my set of Simmons FR18 wheels - these are 3 piece 18" wheels in the FR style. The set consists of 4 wheels, 2 x 8" front and 2 x 9" rear. Offset is to suit AU onwards Falcons, so +38 with 5 x 114.3 PCD. Should therefore also be suitable for a lot of other vehicles such as Nissan Skylines, Silvias, Mitsubishi Magnas, some BMWs and Toyotas, etc.

All wheels are in good condition. The paint on the centres has seen better days, but being 3 piece wheels it is very easy to remove these and have them painted or polished. One of the rear wheels is missing a centre cap (these can be purchased from Simmons or on eBay.com.au).

All wheels are fitted with tyres - they are in good condition to, having traveled less than 5,000 kms since new. They are Durun Sport-One 235/40R18 ( http://www.duruntyre.co.uk/english/performance.htm#sportOne ) . In addition to this I will include a spare 5th tyre, it is the same size but Federal brand.

These are the most popular and sought after style of wheels manufactured by Simmons and they are NO LONGER MANUFACTURED NEW - http://www.simmonswheel.com.au/ .

When new these were nearly $4,000.00 for the wheels alone and tyres were in addition to this. $2,000.00 is an excellent price considering that as of 2 months ago Simmons stopped making wheels and the condition of these.

I am happy to deliver these if local. Otherwise happy to freight at buyers expense, but you must get the quotes yourself and tell me which company to take them too!

Contact me by replying here, PMing me, e-mailing me at [email protected] or call/text on 0439 815 079.

In response generally to the PMs, calls and texts I've been receiving:

Yes, they are still available. I will post up here when they are sold.

If your interstate I am happy to drop them at a freight company of your choice. But if you want a quote, ring that company yourself - I'm sure you have a pretty good idea of the size and weight of the wheels, if not, go get the spare wheel from your car and measure and weigh it, times that by 4 and you'd be pretty close!

I'm located in Hobart, and I'll drop them at any depot located in greater Hobart area free of charge. I may be able to assist in packaging them up to.

I have dropped the price to $1,600.00. I won't go any further, don't waste mine or your time with offers below. I'd rather strip the tyres off and put stash them for a rainy day. I've seen 17"'s sell lately for more than this.

Not a price drop as much, but I'm willing to sell the wheels (without tyres) for $1,250.00. This may help to reduce freight expenses for an interstate buyer (which is pretty much everyone who has so far called me about them) as it will make them lighter and smaller.

So $1,600.00 with 4 near new tyres and an extra 5th spare.

Or $1,250.00 with no tyres.

These prices are firm.

    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
