EDIT - take that back looks like they closed down man sorry

Edited by Mr Eps

nath if ur looking at a blocky style kit that isn't too low to the ground would you consider origin lab???

i don't know who the australian distributor is though i'd have to have a look - watch this space

no such luck i was too beat from my hard days work.

and no it hasn't changed from since you last saw it i don't think... needs a polish / wax now. (which will be done prior to sale) and there' a few spider crack in the front bar (this breaks my heart)

cos i simply want something new - i'm 24 now my time for this car has passed it would be better appreciated by someone younger who wants this style of car

it's going extremely cheap so if you know anyone let me know =)

bahahahah - how u found that thread i have NO IDEA

that's epically old - well - aesthetics update it now has 18x9 / 10 rear Stich evolution wheels

it's not quite as low

has a VIP chrome stripping around the outside

suspension has been raised to legal height

haha yeah rowan that origin kit looks too similar to the wonder i think

im gonna stick with the uras kit for now coz it doesnt look so track in black haha

but yeah make sure whoever buys your car is a sensible person

Yeah, dont advertise it man, sell it via word of mouth, there are too many idiots around (without self contradiction, on sites like this one), that know nothing about Ceffies and wont appreciate them.

Got a PM from a guy who works at the auto shop in Midland Gate, turns out THEY are selling Monkey Warehouse gear, I did say end of this month I'd order, BUT I've been foolish with my cash, so after I've paid rent + loan + rego + coilovers + clutch cylinder, I'm going to be begging for change and selling myself, so it'll be end of next month (that only leaves 5 stud + wheels + brake fitment to worry about, then its running again, getting close now)

URAS / Monkey Warehouse / Origin / Woder, all look the same, East Bear and Diana look the same, the only distinct ones are Final Konnexion (sp?) (one of those in Aus, and I dont fancy transport costs), and DMAX

Pics of DMAX and Diana here, for reference.

I'll bump this thread once I've got a kit happening.

Cheers boys and girls.

hahaha - on the weekend i gave it a wash and breif detail... replaced the battery and it's starting INSTANTLY again

i was looking at it all starry eyed with it's tyre black and thinking "man i still DO love this car"

then i went out to northbridge and grabbed a japanese mandarin & lemon water... got in the car again

...there's no bottle or cup holder!!! haha..

but yeah realised on the weekend i *do* still love the car... everybody turns their head and looks at it no matter what...

japanese cars... it's a strange love affair.

    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
