Caliper/Dog-bone spacers, to mount the caliper further away from the hub that the factory position, where can I buy these dardies ?

I need some so I can ram my R33 brakes onto my A31 knuckles, and cant even find any luck via Google apart from those who make their own.

Anybody shed some light on this? Wanted urgently.

I doubt you'll find anything off the shelf and if it wasn't so urgent I could draw some up for you.

I'm modelling my current dogbones and will be using them as a basis to develop some for the stag (this is to use stock calipers with 324mm 33gtr rotors).

bubba another option is ebay...

they sell cheap billet spacers in teh US of assholes

i think they are advertised as S14 to 350z spacing or similar (which is the same 280->324mm)

im going to get some one day when my car gets on the road (after bart finally give me the parts i need *cough*)

A31 stock rotors are same size as S13 SR20DET, the calipers fit onto those, but I want to use bigger rotors as well, definately dont fit 9yes Im doing a 5 stud conversion too). Couldnt see anything on eBay...got a link buddy?

Otherwise, Bubba, how much do you want to make me up a set of those for all 4 s?

Have to be careful as 350Z have a different offset I think, we discovered an issue when trying to find discs for the Stag.

33 gts-t or 32 GTR calipers to suit 324mm rotor .

Marbles go play with some bees

Already got some, cheers :) Although, if you can send me a photo of them that'd be cool (so I can see if they differ to what I already have).

R33 GTST rotors are massive compared to the S13 / A31, so there's no way in hell you can fit the caliper on the rotors onto an S13 knuckle.

Word of advice , you have no idea what your doing so do all road users a favour and have some one who knows brakes do your work :D

These 2 set ups bolt straight onto s13 hubs .. remove old shitty single piston calipers n fit directly onto hub n stub axle

33 GTR .. 324mm rotor .. larger then 33 gts-t

Project MU .. 335mm rotor

Mate the calipers fit onto the knuckle just fine, its fitting the calipers on with BIGGER ROTORS.

I cant fit the rotors on and the calipers which is why i need to space them further away from the centre?

A31 knuckles

5 stud hubs

R33 GTST Rotors

R33 GTST Calipers

Hence why I CAN mount the calipers if I were to use the A31/S13 rotors, but the caliper otherwise sits too close to the centre to use R33 rotors.

Do I need to take photo's / draw picture?

That's pretty odd.. I've found that between the models, the difference for the bigger rotors is in the caliper.. therefore the 33gtst calipers should bolt onto the A31 knuckles in the right spot to use 33gtst rotors..

Are you sure you have 33gtst calipers and not 32gtst?

34 series has different size bolt n hole on front but other then that they still fit up .. In process of doing 34 turbo brakes onto my 31 wagon with monster rb30e :whistling:

Yeah 34's have the same size bolts on the front as my Stagea.

The reason I am developing new dogbones/brackets is the ones off my 32 don't fit onto the Stagea.. it clashes with part of the knuckle which I can only assume is a 4WD thing.. if I could be bothered I'd try them on my mates GTS4 and confirm that.

Yeah I know they are the same brake setup but are the knuckles the same rwd to awd?

32gtst brakes fit straight onto the Stag but if I try to use the adapter brackets, the bracket itself hits a big balljoint looking thing.

Being that Stageas are a piecemeal car, I highly doubt their knuckles/hubs are specific to the WGNC34. More likely they are 33gtr/gts4 hubs/knuckles.

My guess is that due to there being an axle through the centre of the hub, that the lower joint maybe sits lower than on the skyline.. if I had both in the air next to each other I could sus out exactly what the differences are.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
