Anyone who says that semi's are no good on the street really have no idea what there on about. Matt (Whatsisname) has them on his car and he cant believe how good they are either.

I'm thinking it's time for semi's on the street, t1r's are struggling, i'm guessing the ku36's are so cheap because there shit?

Ive looked up the thread on here about the special coating thats on them. Have use throttle body cleaner on them. The coating is still on there as i can see.

Cheers for the heads up tho.

No problem, just giving you the heads up :)

number on front is 49179-53

compressor wheel inlet is 5.5 cm...

looking into it, it seems it will to laggy for drift.

Last question, How many blades on the turbine wheel and measure the exducer on that as well.

P.S. the compressor inducer wouldn't be 52.7mm not 55 would it?

well i think it's an early version (judging by the compressor wheel) of a TD06SH-20G.

It'll be laggy as it's the biggest of the TD06's before you go to a T67. But it's a 330kw turbo.

It's too big for a 20 though, See you should have gone 25. ;)

so for track purposes, its not really ideal eh?

im not scared to keep the revs up, and the extra tyre smoke would be kinda cool!

how would i go getting round the coolant lines? join them together?

edit: just seen your edit. i wont bother with it.....

what to get what to get??????????

I'm not sure about that compressor wheel, i can't find anything that even looks close to it and it doesn't look like the current generation of 20G wheels although the inducer specs are very similar to the 20G size.

I have something perfect for you; BRB.

Here you go it's a perfect turbo for a 20.

http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=414681.

You can get 300kw our of this turbo but 260-280kw is more reasonable.

And don't fore get that this is a $1800 turbo when it is new. You might want to change the turbine housing though.

EDIT!! Sorry missed the bit that said that it was sold.....lol

    • From the factory on RB26s there's a fitting on the intake manifold collector/"plenum" that provides pre-throttle boost signal. That's how they did it back in the day, I figure it's fine to replicate it.
    • I would be surprised if that wasn't the issue. It's probably telling you, that even if you remove the plastic liner, you may have some other clearance issues that may occur too in some scenarios. IE, tyre to guard. It looks like someone has already rolled the lip, but you may still have issues in the future IE, turning and hitting a bump etc. The fact it changes how bad it makes the noise when you are going backward vs forward is highly indicative that it's the tyre rubbing. They do make a terrible sound, even if you're only pushing a project car that has a liner hanging down on a tyre!   Has the car been lowered? If it has been, what is the measurement from the centre of the wheel hub to the lip of the guard straight up?

    • But if you had to go bury a body in the forest, would you not put that in the boot? Most of them are >=90kg these days.
