Well, if i had the money i would get an r34 gtr. I quite like the f6 typhoon aswell, the newer ones especially. Not to mention they are really quick and fairly easy to mod.

I wouldnt go near the s15 though.

But thats just me

My brother-in-law has recently bought the Ford F6E. Whilst it's a nice car with mod cons eg roof, tow bar, leather yaddayadda, he knows he didn't buy it as a pure bred high potency super sports car. We take our cars down the south coast through Macquarie Pass and it just can't stick to the tarmac like the GT-R. If the rear steps out through a twisty, you just can't predict how soon you can get it back whilst you still try to keep the power on. It's a very tidy sports tourer. If that's what you want and tow something in the bargain, get the Ford.

I bought the GT-R with the dynamics of a super sports car already built in with its chassis, brakes, power to 4 wheels, cornering, damping, suspension. It also has had its potential of upgrading semi-aroused.

One more thing, I have lost virtually nothing in depreciation since I bought mine 3 yrs ago. :whistling:

Poor Craig has lost approx 15-18 grand.

One of my friends recently got rid of his new typhoon. Said it was nice and quick (he's a ford nut and never owned anything else) but it had constant gearbox problems (manual). He got sick of taking it back and after the 10th or so time he told them to keep it and traded it for the V8 version. Not as fast but hasn't had any problems with it. I'd go the R34 GTR.

GTR will be twice more expensive than a GTT. So watch out.

S15 are cheap to run and fuel... Im considering an s15 myself.

aaaah ok, yeah i have a mate with one. cheeply made though =( hmmmm WELL i might go the gtr, i already drive a 34 gtt and have put in 15 grand in the space of a year. it feels like a waste. not to mention ITS A GTR =D ty guys =)

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
