Nice mate, looks mint.

Late model?

Got Series 2 headlights, and interior looks late model too.

What year ?

Those gauges on the driver's side A pillar, was that a DIY job? or did you buy the trim piece with the slots for the gauges?

aaaaand, last question:

How'd you go about the GTR intercooler?

Welded in? or did you swap the front bar ?

Always good to see a straight Ceffy.

Welcome to the forums ;)

Well, to get technical.

In the first pic, he has an S1 grille, in the following pics its an S1a grille, and he has S2 taillights and headlights (S1 and 1a are the clear type that match S1 grille)

The interior is that softened synthetic leather shit - much nicer than our grandpa interior's.

thanks for the compliment and the welcome

the gauges is DIY....custome made bracket to hold the greddy boost gauges and nismo exhaust temp....

this is early model of 1989...i just change to late (kouki)...

for the gtr intercooler..just swap the front bar and hold it with brackets...

Headlights are definately S2.

How come I see alot of Ceffies with the rear end's sitting high, even on coilovers ?

I know that some brands of coilovers, where S13 is 100% identical, that on A31s the rear sits a tad lower (because they are a direct bolt up, BUT Ceffy bases are slightly longer), but even in those cases, the rear end seems to always sit high?

Should sit lower or flat even, weird.

headlights are S1

tail lights are S2

looking good

just needs a lil more dump on the back :bunny:

errr....do you think my current setting is to low....i think its sexy... :)

agree with that

no no, i mean a little more lower would be perfect, say an inch.

owhh...my mistake of misunderstood...but there is 2 reasons why the setting is like that...

1. road condition here in malaysia is not very good and bumpy except on the highway...

2. this car i am using for daily drive and family ride as well...but on weekends it turns into drift machine...

Your roads in malaysia can't be worse than the roads I have in the country. "Outback" is what the rest of the world calls it.

Still dumped mega low with VERY stiff suspension though.

Where do you go drifting, might I ask? Car park or track?

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
