A big thanx to Shane 1jz747 for organising today. I appreciate it mate

x2...it allowed us to find quite a bit lacking in our set-up. Thanks Shane...Should be sorted for Compak.

Awesome time, awesome car and most importantly awesome fella.

Well done mate.

OMG, if u work on that 60' time it will get closer to a mid 8

i think paul pulled a 1.49 60' (or was it his wife stacey hehe)

1.35 Marko...only a 1.54 today. Stace has done a 1.69 on Federals though...pretty stout!

Thanx Paul

We were happy with the out come. I think its got a bit more in it so we will see what happens at compak attak

Wiping drool off face... So nice. Love the sound as it lauches and looks tough as. Hope one day to have a 9sec street gtr!!!! Working on it slowly as we all are ha ha. Is the headlight duct legal? I wasn't sure but seen it on a fair few high horse power gtrs now that are on the street.

Good luck with the car mate. Very impressive.

i think with some suspensions tuning the black gtr has planty left in it, i didnt get to see the 8 sec passes i think i saw 2 9 sec passes and it was a hand full using up a fair bit of the lane. i reckon that auto was a great move, the car is beautiful to look at, i and many other were very impressed with it.

no dramas on organising the day, there will be a few who attended who will not be welcome in the future as they could not adhere to simple track rules of wrist bands and crew sizes.

other then a few trouble makers i think every one had a pretty good day, althought the cressida didnt make it i had a great day helping out our guys and watchin everyone else have a good go.

Shane

Does anyone know what the fastest radial tyred gtr in the world is?

I know croydon wholesale 32 is the fastest street tyred but he uses et streets and they are not radials.

It maybe Mark godzilla motorsports

Can anyone confirm

Thanx

Paul

    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
    • Ahhhh... If you were putting 12V to the led in there, that's likely made it very unhappy. Chances are how you put power, was 12V across an LED that's meant to only have about 20mA through it at peak, and a forward voltage of about 1.8 to 2.4 volts. That circuit is likely only a 3V3 circuit, and will have a resistor in series with the led too. That's my guesstimate on that light, without having touched one.
    • Another vote for installing them and see how you go.  I mean, you already own them, why would you not fit them?
    • I have had too many of those over the years, my cars have a toolkit or at minimum a cheapy multi tool thing because its too easy to be snookered by some stupid plastic clip that stops you checking the battery terminal isn't loose.
    • Basically, if there is a part# on the nissan catalogue, it is a genuine part. There is a thing called "new old stock" which is stuff made years ago but never sold (or landfilled), but it is super hit and miss what you can buy. Other than some expensive Nismo stuff there is nothing new being made that suits these cars. The only time to be a little careful is (mostly in the US I think, but maybe Japan too), Nissan started rebranding some cheap crap maintenance parts like oil filters as "Pitworks"; stay away from them, if you are buying cheap just buy whatever the local car parts shop carries The three part numbers have an explanation on Amayama: 0V005 is auto, base style 0V015 is manual 0V505 is auto, hectic momo branded ones, maximum F&F points there!
