svarl
oh i dunno never thought to plug the scan tool on lol when i was trying to crank it b4 it went KABANG straight out the exhaust so timing is out somehwere all coils are going to right place and i have all the wiring on the back of them right i drew a map b4 i took it all apart lol. but would timing out cause the plugs to be dry when i take them out? it sounds like it has compression somewhere but dont have a compression tester to check. i also know there is one blue connecter under the collector assembly that i couldnt find to anything its right under the throttle body and just above the fuel rail. also noticed the CAS has left to right adjust ment could that be cuase it if thats wrong? blind_elk
Has the locating tag for the CAS on the end of the ex cam broken off? Sounds like the CAS is out of whack a bit. Moodles2
also noticed the CAS has left to right adjust ment could that be cuase it if thats wrong? CAS should have been marked when removed and put back exactly to same position (usually neutral position in dead center), in the wrong position can do nasty things like advancing the base timing (to the left) or retarding the base timing (to the right).. (if i remember left to right correctly). Timing will need to be checked each time the CAS is taken off. You should be able to see where the tag broke off. Now all you need to do is visualise how the CAS would have aligned. The CAS also has a set of teeth to locate on the ex cam. By the sound of it, you are 1 tooth out on the CAS mounting position.
