well remember how the wanker got beat up a while back?? and the media went quiet on it and covered up for rann as much as possible?? well the australian has just aired the truth, what everyone had been guessing from the start.... mike rann cheated on his wife, numerous times... even in parliment house.

A FORMER Parliament House barmaid has gone public with claims of a sexual relationship with South Australian Premier Mike Rann.

In a paid interview with the Seven Network's Sunday Night program, to be aired tomorrow night, Michelle Chantelois said she had sex with Mr Rann in his Parliament House office on several occasions when parliament was sitting.

Mr Rann faces a state election next March.

A spokesman for the Premier last night flatly rejected the claims of a sexual relationship, adding Mr Rann was very concerned for his family.

"We'll watch the program and issue a statement afterwards," the spokesman said. "We'll see how badly they beat this up."

Mr Rann's links with Ms Chantelois have been the subject of intense speculation since her estranged husband Richard Wayne Phillips was charged with assaulting the Premier with a rolled-up magazine at a Labor Party fundraiser in September.

The Seven Network's chief political correspondent Mark Riley conducted four separate interviews with Ms Chantelois in Adelaide on Wednesday that produced 11 hours of tape.

In a segment of the interviews broadcast on Seven's Today Tonight in South Australia last night, when asked why she had decided to go public, Ms Chantelois, who is believed to have also negotiated with 60 Minutes, said: "It's not something that I like to discuss on a public level but in my case I'm at the point where I feel like I have to come clean. I'm tired of the lies and I'm not holding it in any more."

Ms Chantelois said she was not proud of her conduct, calling it "embarrassing".

"I'm taking responsibility for my own bad behaviour and Mike Rann should take responsibility for his own behaviour," she said. Ms Chantelois detailed how a near-decade-long friendship with Mr Rann became an intimate relationship.

Mr Rann married Sasha Carruozzo in July 2006.

Asked about the relationship with Ms Chantelois following the alleged assault by her estranged husband, Mr Rann said: "Sasha knew about everything. She knows about everything, about the friendship, of the past."

He described Ms Chantelois as a "terrific person, great mother, and she became a friend. When she left Parliament House we stayed friends," he said. "My wife was very aware of her." Riley said the claims by Ms Chantelois of a sexual relationship with the Premier were "supported by corroborating evidence" that he was unable to divulge. He described her as a "credible witness".

Mr Rann first met the US-born Ms Chantelois when she worked at a high school in his electorate of Ramsay in Adelaide's north. The friendship blossomed when she got as job as a waitress in the state parliament bar and dining room. How Ms Chantelois got that job is now likely to became a major point of inquiry by the Liberal opposition.

The day after the alleged assault by Mr Phillips, Mr Rann said he he did not know the reason for the attack.

Mr Phillips is due to appear in court next month on a charge of aggravated assault.

Finally this has resurfaced, i couldn't believe how quickly it was covered up when it first come up. He stated in parliment that he wasn't having a relationship with the wife if the bloke that hit him with the paper and then it never came up again; even though he was averaging 28 phone calls and SMS's per day according to phone records.

Lest see him get out of this one.

suck a massive dick you stupid cheating cock sucker

and to tthe bloke getting charged with aggravated assault, you can have rann's job. he seems to know how shit needs to be delt with!

Yeah I dunno about how commited they are to motorsport, but I decided long time ago that Id be voting liberal this time around.

Lets just hope they dont disappoint me too badly (which they will, being politicians and all)

-D

there is substantial proof behind this, or so im lead to believe.... for an acusation to be this large you must have 100% proof that it occured... but its all starting to fall into place

- mike rann gets assulted, nothing is said on the issue, media black out basically

- he refuses to comment and the has the media start attacking the libs cred

- they start trying to get sympathy for foley, make him more popular

- and now this

they knew from the start it would catch up to them hence why they started grooming that flamin mongrel foley. i really hope the advertiser actually does some fair and true journalism not just what labors PR team feeds them

suck shite mikey, big kev was knocking her off too!!! depression my ass. these two guys are the biggest hypocrite deviates in town.

hay ax, I agree suck shite mikey, out you must go

but for depressional-kev, not good kicking a man down when he's openly admitted to depression.

depression is a BIG thing peeps - if you feel down talk to someone, get help.

i feel for kev foley a little - explains his behaviour tbh.

are you serious?? you believed that shit?? he isnt battling the black dog, he never was.... he loves his life and loves the fact he doesnt have a serious relationship hence why is is always fondling grid girls and having a piss up spending tax payers money. that was all a beat up to drum some support for the idiot.

hey man depression! what has he got to be depressed about?, hes got millions he will get a public servant pension when he retires and hes a regular client to all the high class knock shops in adelaide so i am told !! poor bugger bullshite! he is a prick and so is rann. they can go and "f" themselves for all i am concerned. there is no excuse to behave like an ahole depression or not sorry tangles i disagree. Oh and by the way why did he get a restraining order against her if he didnt give her one?

fair points lads

not saying I like the man, but he admitted to depression & I tend to believe it; you dont BS about that sort of thing.

but yeah, time for little Isobel to lead the state I guess.

Foley and Rann better have lots of cash for security once they are out of politics because there is 1% of people out there that ride motorcycles that don't like either of them very much, how will it feel sleeping with one eye open????? you all know what im on about.

ha beauty! i second the last word in that last sentence.

Poor Mikey, he's just misunderstood..................by his missus, by parliament, by the electorate and even his pet dog!!

As for Big Kev, if he's really as crook as he says, he shouldn't be in that position of power (I don't give a stuff what arguement you can give me for the contrary), otherwise don't hide behind that revelation........he's the sole reason I pay a fortune in land tax each year which quadrupples every year cause of arrogance by refusing to revisit thresholds based on property values from 10 years ago! LOL, anyone done comparrisons on Stamp Duty and Land Tax with your brothers across the border.......we are the most taxed state in the country. Not to mention that a PI licence is approx $150 every 2 years in most states but I pay $1000 every year in SA. Personally I think Big Kev is depressed that his regular one night stands don't want to hang around for breakfast.

The little I've seen of Isobel Redmond so far hasn't deterred me from her....the old girl has guts to stand up to these mongrels and has much more of a brain in her head than Big Mikey & Big Kev.

I couldn't care less what Mike's done behind closed doors and frankly he wouldn't be the first or last to get involved in adultery.

Redmond doesn't convince me of sweet FA and certainly wouldn't get my vote if only for a motorsport park, not that I'm going to be voting for a labour government either!

    • Well, I can recommend the partial AV system translation CD I ordered from Car Audio Workshop in NZ. Whilst it didn't address the date issue, it has conveniently translated on-screen menu items into English, and now allows the GPS-received time to be offset in hours rather than minutes, so I can display Eastern Australian time accurately ( and bump it by another hour when daylight savings starts ).
    • Yuh, if it's 45°C outside, my car is driving in it.
    • I'd be curious to hear more. Otherwise, have you driven a modern x-trail? I wonder how it compares. Here in Australia they are/were popular for rentals and fleet vehicles. I have been in some and my impression was they are bad. But, this may have been very different in the 2000s at a good trim level. Twenty years is plenty of time to make the model worse. I do very much agree with the 2 silver cars in the garage approach. But, not driving because it's too hot would not leave a lot of time in the year for many Australians. I don't think you need to worry too much unless the car has actual issues with overheating.
    • Back again. I returned to Japan in Jul/Aug to spend time with the car on my birthday and remind myself what all the sacrifice and compromise is for. It happened to line up with the monthly morning meet in Okutama, which I have been wanting to go to for a long time. It's a unique event at a unique spot with really rare, interesting, and quirky cars. It's where all the oldheads and OGs gather. The nighttime scene at DKF certainly has its place and should be experienced if you're into cars, but there's too much bad attention and negativity around it now. IMO the better time is Sunday morning at DKF or Okutama; it's more chill and relaxed. I'm glad I was finally able to go, but not sure it's worth the drive from all the way from Nagoya immediately the day before, unless I was already staying in Tokyo for the days right before the meet, because you have to wake up quite early to make it in time. Funnily enough though I didn't drive the car all that much this trip because it was just too damn hot. While there were zero issues and running temps were nominal and the A/C was strong, RBs already run crazy hot as it is. Sure, it took it all like a champ but something about driving these cars in the ridiculous heat/humidity bothers me and makes me feel like I'm asking too much of it. I'm just me being weird and treating the car like a living thing with feelings; I'm mechanically sympathetic to a fault. Instead I was mainly driving something else around - a KX4(silver) 2001 X-Trail GT, that I acquired in May. There's a few different flavors to choose from with Xs, but visually it's the Nissan version of the Honda CR-V. Mechanically it's a whole different story as this, being the top-trim GT, has an SR20VET mated to a four-speed auto and full-time AWD! It was a very affordable buy in exceptional condition inside and out, with very low mileage...only 48k kms. Most likely it was owned by an older person who kept it garaged and well-maintained, so I'm really happy with how it all worked out. It literally needs zero attention at the moment, albeit except for some minor visual touch-ups. I wanted something quirky, interesting, and practical and for sure it handily delivers on all three of those aspects. I was immediately able to utilize the cargo and passenger capacity to its full extent. It's a lot of fun to drive and is quite punchy through 1st and 2nd. It's very unassuming -in the twisty bits it's a lot more composed than one would think at a glance- and it'll be even better once I get better tires on it(yes, it's an SUV but still a little boat-y for my liking). So...now I have two golden-era Nissans in silver. One sports car and one that does everything else; the perfect two-car solution I think👍 The rest of the trip...I was able to turn my stressed brain off and enjoy it, although I didn't quite get to do as much as I thought. I did some interesting things, met some interesting people, and happened into some interesting situations however, that's all for another post though only if people really want to know. Project-wise, I went back to Mine's again to discuss more plans and am hoping to wrap that up real soon; keep watching this space if that interests you. Additionally, while working in the tormenting sweatbox that is the warehouse, I was able to organize most of the myriad of parts that my friend is storing for me along with the cars, and the 34 has a nice little spot carved out for it: And since it can get so stupid hot in there, that made it all the more easy -after I was standing there looking at the car and said 'f**k it'- to finally remove all the damn gauges that have mostly been an eyesore all this time. Huzzah. The heat basically makes the adhesive backing on the gauge mounts more pliable to work with, so it was far less stressful getting this done. I didn't fully clean it up or chase the wiring though; that will happen once I have the car in closer possession. Another major reason to remove all that stuff is to give people less reasons to get in my car and steal s**t while it's being exported/imported when/if the time comes, which leads us to my next point... ...and that is even though it's time in Japan is technically almost up since it's a November car and the X would be coming in March, I'm still not entirely sure where my life and career is headed; I don't really know what the future looks like and where I'm going to end up. I feel there's a great deal of uncertainty with me and as a result of that, it feels like I'm at a crossroads moreso now than any point in my life thus far and there are some choices I need to make. Yes, I've had some years to consider things and prepare myself, however too much has happened in that time to maintain confidence and everything feels so up in the air; tenuous one might say. Simply put, there's just too much nonsense going on right now from multiple vectors. Admittedly, I'm struggling to stay in the game and keep my eyes on the prize. So much so in fact, that very recently I came the closest I ever have before to calling it quits outright; selling everything and moving on and not looking back. The astute among you will pick up on key subtext within this paragraph. In the meantime I've still managed to slowly acquire some final bits for the car, but it feels nice knowing there's not much left to get and I'm almost across that finish line; I have almost everything I'll ever want for my interpretation and expression on what it is I think an R34 should be. 'til later.
    • Thanks for that, hadn’t used my brain enough to think about that.
