hey guys i got a quote for my 34 2 door for a 30% window tint or sumfin he quoted me 250 bucks is that reasonable? and wat did u guys pay?

got 5% on my 34.. $250 cash job, no reciept. If i have any probs tho i can call the guy in.. i know i wont cause we use him at our work .. he does all out lexus window tinting, and u know how fussy they can be!

All look fantastic and all with 150mm band of tint on front window too!

Also did my SS ute through master tint, $200 but i wouldn't recommend them, they use a cheaper tint, and cant see out day or night!!

will cops seriously defect me if i go under 30%? and can you get it changed back if they do?

They can defect you yes. Whether they will bother to or even notice it is another thing. I've got 18% and i reckon that's the perfect tint as it's dark enough to really block out glare and make it a bit more private during the day but light enough to still have good visibility at night.

Got a few mates with 5% and looks like someone got a paint roller and painted their windows black. If i was a cop I would have no problems handing out defects for 5% as it HAS to significantly impair night visibility as well as during the day!

I reckon a simple trick is to put the windows down as soon as you're getting pulled over so that they don't have to go looking for you through the tint as that is probably when they will think someone is not right.

Yeah you can get it changed back... take it to the shop and pay another 250 to get the windows retinted lol. As well as paying the defect!

ive been pulled over a few times since getting my tint done.. just put the windows down and turn on the light to make it look like u are finding your licence! Had no probs with it

i paid $150 for my tint which is 5% all around, i have a r32 sedan.

i got my tint from (Accredited Window Tinting) in SA, got it done for like $170 but thats only because my dads bisness is next door and yeh.

its a 4door 34 and i got 25% allround

just dont go to the tint professor, ive heard so many bad storys it isnt funny

i found tint a car the best, they did a realy good job on my car.

i personally dont like getting it done to dark, because really dark windows and no tint on the windscreen looks crap imo
