i sorta new that as i heard them talking about them when i was at the skid pan day. think they are chipped and extractors (probably not much more power than my line). still, will be a great day.

i did 10 laps at the AHG day for my 21st.

It was good fun apart from the fact they are running traction control! hahaha..

its good to unleash on the track and not worry about blowing things up!

Yeah, a few minor mods, roll cage, brakes and suspension. Still plenty enough to have fun in the right hands

Have fun when you go.

They are making 440rwhp (Head and cam package) and maffless tune

spoke to mechanics when i took them for a drive..... only thing thats crap, was when i went, they wouldnt let me out of 3rd or 4th gear, regardless of where i was on the track..... wouldnt allow to drop back to 2nd for 70kph corners of fear of novices breaking gearboxs

They let me use 2nd wherever I wanted but he wouldn't turn the traction control off :)

It does force you to drive smoother though as they are absolute crap when the TC kicks in.

just about to leave for this, so full details, 3 laps with instructor driving to show the ropes, 12 laps me driving and 3 more flat out laps with a trained driver. gunna be great, will post picks soon

what a great day, dunno if i would pay 600 bux for it but a great day when its free. cars were a little bit slower than i liked (400hp at flywheel i recon) but was still good. only got to use 3rd and 4th (just at the end of the straight) as they only let us on the short track. felt like i was only in there for 5 mins it went that quick and the 3 laps with the pro driver was great, was trying to hold on more than watch the track

I have done it a calder in vic was not as fast as i thought it would be.Brakes are better and exhaust has been done it's still fun but wanted to go faster and yes no second gear to push you out of corners.. They now have v8 race at sandown and not at calder and have had to quieten the cars down a bit to run them on weekdays

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
