Ignition Amplifier

Recommended Posts

Gday. I own a 95 r33 skyline. And have only had for a few months.

Was looking up on how to change spark plugs and noticed that there is no cover plates or apparent ignition amplifier.

Im guessing from what i can see is that its been rewired to bypass ignition amplifier.

Just wanting some advice on what to do ( is this normal) do i leave as is or have an ignition amplifier put in.

Cheers J

Is you car a Series 1.5? ie it has a series 2 motor? If so its built into the coil packs so no need for the ignitor box

Yea it is, cheers mate. Goina av to replace them next. Its bit bloody hard tracking down how to do these things ya'self.

But live n learn.

How do you know if you have a series 1.5? Cause i have the same issue with my 95 r33, theres the bracket to mount the amplifier to but the wires just look as if there shouldn't be one there?
