Hi guys

Yes i know i'm taking the plunge into darkness lol :) .

At this stage i'm just after an EOI, just need to know if anyone would be interested.

I'm getting married in November, at the Sir Fransis Drake at Heatherbrae near Newcastle, looking for any GT-R as long as it's tidy. Would prefere R34 but i know there few and far between in Newcastle so any will do.

Should only need 2 cars with two passangers each.

There will be about 30mins max driving the whole day as i live local (not including your own travel time). so it's basicly pick me up at my house drive about 10mins, have the ceremony than drive to the local river for some shots and back again.

you will get paid, but price would have to be worked out.

Cheers guys

Cam

Hey Cam,

Firstly congrats on the wedding mate (I got married in september, was by far the best day of my life....so far!)

I too, was also on the look out for some GT-Rs for the groomsmen (the bride/bridesmaids had commodores :)), and luckily 2 members on here came through for me (one R34 GT-R, one R33 GT-R)

Hopefully you'll have the same luck. Being in newcastle, not sure whether that'll increase or decrease your chances but all the best! I think i went through about 5 or 6 possible GT-Rs when i was searching, and because situations kept changing, the lineup kept changing (but that's another story)

I cannot fault the members on here...and now i think i'm rambling..

so good luck!

Thanks Black Widow, should be a good day.

lol Bakes

i was hopping you might put your hand up :) i love your car. if you could make it that would be awsome i couldn't think of a nicer car to turn up to my wedding in.

since this is my first wedding i have no idea on price, what would you guys be happy with? i was thinking around 200 but i really don't know if thats fare or not. there really isn't much driving, i would think it will only take up half a day maybe less for you guys.

Piggaz

if you are happy to come up from sydney that would be great.

let me know if 200 isn't enough or what you think is fare

Cheers guys

Thanks so much guys, i really appretiate it.

i will have three cars all up one will be mine and you two (fingers crossed). i'll keep in touch in the up comming months and let you know the plans.

thanks once again

Cam,

God_speed and myself had a great time; whilst our cars were used for Black_Widow's wedding day.

Can I just suggest two things...

1) surveil the route so that the gutters and dips can accommodate low lips - esp. Bakes', perhaps Piggaz' too.

2) take off the ribbons before the cars move away - the shape of the bonnet is such that the flapping of the ribbons creates swirl marks.

You can always re-attach the ribbons at the destination pt.

Prayers for good weather on your Big Day too! No hail!

Edit: November is supposed to be the biggest month in the year for hail. Are you going to check Thrifty for a couple of backup Hyundais? Hail Hyundai? lol

lol Terry

i will leave it up to the guys as to weather they want to put anything on their cars, the GT-R's are only for the blokes anyway but will see what happens. I don't want to risk damaging anything as i know what these cars cost. As for the route, should be all smooth sailing i drive my car quite often over the same path so should be all good.

The weather oh yes i'm praying for 25 ans sunny :) thanks for the good wishes bud.

Oh really?

My apologies Terry!

We are still in the process of getting yourself and Matt copies of the photos from the day (been a little short of money...being affected by this card skimming thing doesn't help either ($1100 bye bye!)

No need to apologise Nick.

Like I said, we had a really good time - and spoke at length with the Salvos couple that officiated your Christian wedding ceremony.

It was a great wedding ceremony indeed - in fact, one of the best.

    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
