Rb30 Auto - High Pitch Humming From 4th Gear Shift

Hey all, I want to suss out this sound i'm getting from my R31 executive, When it shifts into 4th gear (auto) I can hear a soft humming noise as i accelarate, If i ease off the gas and let it cruise it goes away, It's not loud by any means but I want to make sure it's not a bad sound. it's a soft and a smooth humm.

My first reaction was it might be a fan cos when my bro had a minor accident he had his radiator fixed and new fan, and it makes a high pitch humm when you run the air con.

Could a exhaust leak in the manifold cause this or is it the Rear diff?

could be diff, gearbox, wheel bearing and possibly be a few other things
