lets not forget that we are talking about a championship and not 1 race.....its all fair that all credit goes to webber and his team for that maiden victory......he drove brilliantly in that race and i accept that.....but just winning one race in a whole championship doesnt make your a world champion....simple as that and i still think that he has a really long way to go in regards to winning the world title.....

You may have been talking about championships but I wasn't, I was only referring to his race wins. Plenty of people have come and gone in F1 without managing that, so it's something to be proud of.

Let's wait and see how he goes this year. He has a real chance if testing is anything to go by, the car looks like a race winner. But you know what they say, when the flag drops the bulls**t stops.

Don't write him off yet, that's all I'm saying.

LOL! Once again confirming his wanker status!

hehe foot in mouth much? if it were so easy, he'd have his championship by now (as someone already mentioned...)

what a dork

He might never win a championship but we will support him regardless cos he is 'stralian! :D

spot on Ben and f**king awesome find Steve......bring on the races, as i cannot wait to see the prancing dark horse again......

No real surprise to me to see Vettel get pole and for both Ferrari's to be genuine contenders. Can't wait to see how the race pans out in regards to tyre compounds and their use/abuse cause I have a feeling that those that (can) look after their tyres early will be on the podium.

lol say what? i agree with what he's saying. bring back the clutch :(

whats wrong with the driver wanting it to be more of a battle with drivers as apposed to which team pumps the most $ in

Haha yeah - but all honesty - never mind the clutch - bring back the fuel stops!! lol

I'm not a massive F1 fan but a lot of my close mates are and I get told about it whether I give a shit or not. Unlike most in this thread I support Webber simply because he is Australian and from the little I know of the guy he seems like an ok bloke - unlike other drivers in F1.

However 2010 held some interest for me as Lotus was back, Michael Schu was back, Webber might be in a decent car, etc etc. So I watched the race... and it was another typical boring F1 race.

I'll stick with WRC. Way more exciting with much more variety in everything bar manufacturers now.

It was way more boring than normal due to the gay new no refuelling rule lol

wow, what a fail of a race... omg, could the no re-fueling rule have made it any more boring??? about 70% of the commentary was about "protecting tyres".... and probably because 95% of the race was about "protecting tyres" with the other 5% being cars just failing

oh, and webber failing... a 1s a lap faster car yet he still cant overtake, sad, sad times!

least it looks like ferrari vs red bull for most of the year =) cept RBRs reliability will cost them just enough to not win anything

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
