if i was him i would be retiring the next game not the end of the season.....lol the crows aint going to be playing finals or anything....as if he retired the next game it would give some young player a chance of experiencing some game time and will develop him for the better next season.....

That came out of left field.

Out of the the 4 veterans, he was the last one that I expected to go and actually thought he had 1 or even 2 more years left in him......he certainly hasn't let his side down this year.

Burton on the other hand is a different story......he needs to say goodbye cause his best footy is behind him.

McLeod's knees have caught up with him, so get ready for some more news from him.

Tyson Edwards, reminds me of Roger James - the silent achievers that get the work done week in week out with no recognition by the VIC gurus yet always amongst the Top 3 BOG........don't know if he has another year left in him, maybe 1 more.

If they all leave this year, CROWS are in serious trouble next year cause these 4 (apart from Burton) haven't been anywhere near as bad as the 2nd tier players in your 22.......you're really gonna notice a big hole with Goody gone me thinks.

EDIT: Krishy, all common sense aside, any good team player would not abandon a ship mid way through a season........Goody is possibly the best club player the Crows have got........and that's coming from a Port Ferral!!

Yep agreed Pete, 9 times in the top 10 for club champion, and winning it 3 times, 2 premierships, handful of all-australian nominations, thats a decent career.

So whatever happened to not abandoning ship midway through the season aye......shows there is no loyalty towards the club or the fans

he isnt the captain, its different. I dont agree with pulling the pin straight away, I would rather see him stick the season out.

i see what your saying....but for a seasoned player he would know better....and isnt he in the "leadership" group....just as good as the captain

From what I understand it wasnt his choice to end his career this way. He was dropped from the side and didn't want to end his career as a struggling player having to work his way back though the SANFL so retired. Crows couldn't even promise him a farewell game......slightly disrespectful for a 300 game vetren...well done crows.

semi right Ryan.

He was dropped to the SANFL this week and spat the dummy.

Wanted a going away party so he was offerred the Freo game......possibly?!

Chucked a sooky and said, "I'm outta here effective immediately if I don't get my own way".

Coaching staff pretty much said, "don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out".

Still no way to treat a 300 game vetren (dual premiership player). They couldn't even promise him the Freo game as a last game it was still a "maybe"....I'ld be spitting the dummy aswell.

Kind of a shame that AFL players are held up to be people that are obliged to stay with any team for any amount of time.

Its like any job

You dont like it, fine, quit. Find another one.

Dude has as much right as anyone else to say 'f**kit im done' for whatever reason he deems fit

The manner of his departure will of course affect his relationship with the club, be it with farewell games/being a member of the crows inner circle after retiring etc, but considering the dude was 17 when he started and was present for both of the final wins, he deserves to go out however he wants. no questions asked.

off topic, im glad barry hall only got copped with a fine. if some cockhead knocked me over while i was doing up my laces i'd do the same thing

-D

I tend to agree with Damo with seeing the season out.

The 320 Gamer is now a life member with footy still figuring in his life one way or another (possibly), so why let your team mates down when they need you the most....Goody didn't.

Me thinks the McLeod dramas had a small role to play in his immediate resignation........hate each other with a passion, still.

No arguement that he's a champion, but the best of players have been dropped in the passed when they least expected it......no one is too good, remember the Blighty million dollar bench?

    • Steam valve seals are usually responsible for cold start smoke, it goes away once engine warmed up. Disconnect it let engine breathers and let it breath freely, see if problem goes away after a short drive. Also check to make sure engine oil drain pipe is not blocked or kinked.
    • Haha thanks! Yea I'm moving over from 2x 1000cc jets pre throttle over to 6x 190cc direct port jets and 1x 500cc pre throttle jet.  Direct port comes with all the advantages you would expect, except that pre throttle does cool down IAT'S more. That's why my direct port nozzle placement is closest to the plenum as possible in the runners to allow the air more time to cool before being sucked in. I'm also putting that one 500cc pre throttle jet to help with more cooling. It's a hybrid system. There's a lot more advantages to moving over to a PWM solenoid with a constant pressure system vs my old PWM pump setup, but I'll get more into that once I'm done converting everything over. The ricer in me is excited to see SS tubing all over my manifold though!
    • Very cool, see what I did there? 🥲 Wild WMI setup, first I've seen where it's on each cylinder runner, usually I see a single jet pre throttle.
    • Welcome mate. What type of work were you looking at getting done? Majorly of decent skyline workshops are in the SE.
    • Thanks mate, haha that's it ey, no more boosters and what not, should make for a good time
